Nice find! My mom was big on finding patterns to popular brands and stories. Her best finds were a Phantom of the Opera costume pattern which a theater group purchased for over $100 and a Padme Amidala costume, one of the lesser popular ones from Attack of the Clones, for $80. Both were 50 cent finds.

These were nowhere on my radar. Thanks for the heads up. I will keep my eyes open for them in the future. I’ve probably walked by a bunch in the past.

Always in the knitting/craft section of Goodwill. Dimensions and Bacilla are the best. Again, Christmas ones sell the best. I only buy sealed/unopened ones just to make sure you aren't missing a thread or two, which I would think are immediate grounds for a return. Also intricate designs can sell well. I once bought a sealed large dragon one for $12 and it sold for over $100. Also, as I said above, the Gold collection for Dimensions typically sells well. Good luck, I would be shocked that if within 2-3 months you didn't find a good one to flip. Heck even $40-$50 is worth it if it only costs $4-$6 to buy.

I learned about them years ago. Have gone to estate sales just on seeing these in photos.. they are fairly common on the wild

Buscilla is a brand to look for

Last day of estate sale here I ended up with several signed pieces of costume jewelry some sterling rings a few vintage electrics that sell well as parts donors about 100 vintage presidential campaign pins. There are only 5 or 6 different designs but tgere are about 25 each of 3 versions. Should be able to lot them up for 7 or 8.00 a set in a multi item listing and it become a slow profit center. Paid 20 for everything. Jewelry alone should bring 150.00 to 200

What is the best way to photograph old posters that have been rolled for 40 years? They are hard to unroll and really do not want to tape the to wall

That would mean floor photo but I solved it. Metal doors of storage unit and some small high strength I get from breaking down old computer hard drives

Here's guy for everyone to avoid on eBay: chekolek

He has left negative feedback for 53 sellers in little over a year. 16 of which came in the last 6 months and almost all of it within the past year.

He tried asking for money back after the 30 day window which I declined and he left negative feedback for me as well. Seems to entice sellers with removal of negative feedback after refunds are given.

That's a buyer that definitely deserves to be removed by eBay. That seems pretty clear what is happening, not to mention if he has ever been reported.

Reported him and called eBay to let them know. Had to call them anyway about a return. She looked into it and while she didn't say anything specifically, you could definitely hear the shock in her voice as she was reading through all of his negative feedbacks.

Needless to say, I got that negative feedback removed. Not sure what's going to happen to the guy, but he's definitely on my block list.

I've been playing with my latest score. Two weeks ago I went to an estate sale that looked good. Pictures showed vintage he-man, TMNT, and a couple gi joe vehicles. I was 4th in line and by the time the doors opened there were over 50 behind me. I chose the right direction and ended up in the toy room. It got crowded quick. I went to the corner with the gi joe vehicles and the first thing I saw was a big box full of gi joe figures which were not pictured. I grabbed the whole box. For $30 I ended up.with 56 complete figures, a huge pile of weapons and accessories and stack of file cards. All the figures were apart and I've spent the last two weeks matching and reassembling with new bands. I'm just now matching up.weapons and accessories but it looks like the majority will have all to be complete. This has been the best toy haul I've ever made and been the most fun.

Awesome. I would have been lazy though and just list the whole lost on Ebay as is.

That was a wild sale, wish i had been feeling a little better was recovering from sinus infection. The crowd definitely became a factor for me. I grabbed 5 or 6 nice figs from that box before I decided to look at other things. Best thing I grabbed was a folder with a bunch of old rare file cards and old backs from carded g1 transformers. Also got a crap load of parts and pieces to various vehicles. Only sold 3 items from it and quadrupled what I spent. Still got a couple hundred items to list

Was hoping the cold would have killed the crowd

Shocked they sold whole box for 30. I was wondering how much they would charge being first day but being first day I typically don't bother at estate sales.

Me and woman running sale got into a lil spat over pricing. Items marked 1 price cashier said those were old prices from the owners previous sale. And it was obvious so I agreed to their price. Woman running sale heard discussion and raised price again.

How cool, you were there too. You probably ended up with the file cards I'm missing for some of the figures. I ended up with other good stuff besides the gi Joe's, got a box full.of transformers, 5 redline hot wheels, bag full.of tmnt accessories, bag full of gi joe missiles and parts. They had individual prices on the figures I just made an offer on the whole box. I didn't buy any of the vehicles. But ended up.woth a bag of parts for the big gi joe mobile command center and ended up trading it to them to the guy that bought it last weekend.

I found these game issued 76ers city connect jerseys at 2nd Ave Thrift today after work for $12.99 each. I listed them on eBay and already sold them for $300 shipped. There was a middle aged woman that was in the activewear aisle before me. She told me she had these jerseys in her cart but put them back because they were blank. Meanwhile, she bought a bunch of fake authentic Reebok and Majestic jerseys to sell at the local flea market. I was happy she put them back.

Had an amazing pickup at an estate sale. Didn't get there until noon. At the checkout table they had bags of jewelry. I saw a gigantic gold nugget style ring in a little bag marked "Not real gold " for $10. The ring is massive, it is way bigger than my thumb and I have big hands. It felt real to me and had lead poured inside of it to make it smaller. I was looking at it and she said I could have it for $5. There were tiny silvery spots on the side of the ring where the.lead had splashed. I took the gamble. Got home and.peeled the lead off of it and it was marked 14k underneath. I acid tested to make sure and was so excited to see the gold scratch stay. It's over $800 of gold. Probably my best jewelry find to date. I much prefer garage sales to estate sales but very glad I hit that one and trusted my gut.

Love it when that happens. I would have never found those. I very rarely look at stuff like that. Last one I made a flip like that last year was some Radko Christmas ornaments bought 2 different sets paid around 200 for them but within 24 hours I had sold one set for 750.00 and tge other for 600. Did similar on some 1960s John deere toys still in box paid 40 for 6 pieces within 24 hours 5 had sold for around 800 total
