And I am NOT a Foo Fighters apologist. Every album they've made in the last 10 years have like maybe two good songs on it, and the rest is garbage. But the early stuff? First album, with songs like "This is a Call" and "X-Static"? The best.

This is how I look at.. If I don't like what they are playing on the radio I'm certainly not going to buy the album to see if I like anything else on there. For me every Foo Fighters song is the exact same thing. It starts out slow, drums kick in, then Grohl screams his way through the rest of the song. No thanks, hard pass.
I was in high school in the early 90's. There were two groups of people there. There were Pearl Jam people and there were Nirvana people. I was firmly in the Pearl Jam camp. Nirvana did nothing for me whereas Pearl Jam spoke to me. As a matter of fact Ten and Vs. got me through a hell of a lot of hard times growing up. I suppose there is some residual Nirvana dislike that has transferred over to Grohl and The Foo Fighters. That could be what it is for me.
