I recently picked up an uncut 1955 Dodgers Golden Stamp Book that includes a Jackie and Koufax (rookie year), among other stars. The entire book is in pretty awesome shape.
I am currently debating whether I should keep the book as is in its uncut form or attempt to perforate the stamps and send in the stars to get graded. IMO, perforating it would be turning a neat vintage Dodgers team piece into individualized player pieces. Either form this is an awesome piece to me and would be for my PC since I am a Dodgers collector, but at the same time I am interested in maximizing value and like the idea of displaying the slabbed stamps with other cards. Perforating also obviously introduces some risk of damaging the stamps, would need to do the non-stars first. Does anyone have any feedback on the pros/cons of perforating it? Any idea of the value uncut vs individual stamps? Does anyone have any experience perforating them? I appreciate any help on this one! For context here are some recent sales of the individuals: Jackie: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1955-Golden...S&LH_Auction=1 Koufax: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1955-Golden...gEQhZ&LH_BIN=1 Photos of my book: ![]() ![]()
