I think the coaching of L Jack is 60% of his success. His leaps have been insane. That does not just happen because of coaching and does not just happen because of a player. But without the right coaching, he falters. That goes to not only off the field and his development, but the play calling, games plans, and teammates they surround him with.
I still stand by the idea that Vick was a better QB talent than L Jack was, and his 2010 Philly year, after several years off of a football field at age 30, prove that. Athletes who are commentators often say "the right thing" so Vick making that proclamation doesnt surprise me, nor sway my opinion of what I see on the field.
Derrick Henry is also a huge portion to add into the equation of this football season. As Lamar has had the best year of his career, his peak is being timed with the greatest RB of this generation joining the team.
Look at Jalen Hurts adding Barkley. All his metrics are up. TD%, INT%, QBR, QB rating. All while throwing 5-8 less passes a game. A great back makes it a lot easier on a QB.
I still think it will be difficult for Lamar Jackson to win a Super Bowl on his own, which I am constantly reminded on as the reason a QB is valuable or a great investment, which is what this thread was about to begin with. And for a QB to have a top 3 defense for 5 of his 7 seasons, top 10 for 6 out of 7, he should be looking at a Super Bowl appearance by now. Lamar will have a great shot this season, but it will be interesting to watch the Chiefs defense and how they handle him should they meet.

You should look up Vick’s stats. I think people remember him as something he wasn’t.
Dudes most accurate year as a passer would be basically equal to Lamar’s worst as a starter.
Vick vs Lamar first 6 years (prior to Vick going to jail and Lamar prior to this year) and there isn’t anything comparable. Lamar dominates in every category and it’s not even close.
