Thank you eBay authentication!
Props to eBay authentication.
There was a card listed for auction. Comps ranged from $290-$310. The seller had some history, but not tens of thousands of sales. The pictures were one of the front and one of the back. They weren’t totally junk pictures, but they weren’t extremely great either. I bid on it, and got it for barely over $300. If I’m not mistaken, that qualified it for eBay authentication. They messaged me saying the card *is* authentic, but they caught a discrepancy with the card that was not mentioned in the sellers description. There was a tiny dot of black magic market on a corner, making it an altered card.
I don’t know if the seller knew, but I’m sure glad they caught it. They gave me the option to reject the card and I did. I’ll keep looking for an unaltered card.
