Default Not so good mailday

Got my 5 Star Wars variants in from Hastings. Lots of shifting during shipment, corners damaged. Not sure if they'd do anything to help or not. Looks like I'm out $25 though.

For another package from Graham Crackers. 3 ASM 700 Skyline variants and the 1:100 Quesada. First of all, packaging was horrendous. Stuck inside a flat rate mailing envelope, sandwiched into a UPS cardboard "pak", and then into a manila envelope. Really??!?

But it gets worse. Was stamped by USPS "Damaged in handling in the postal service."

After seeing that and it being inside a manila effing envelope I knew I was in trouble. All books crunched in the top left corner...probably where the mishandling comes in to play.

So what do I do now? I sent a polite email to GC about what happened. I did make a comment that it was ridiculous that a $100 book was mailed like that. Can I expect a resolution in my favor? Anybody else been in a similar situation with them? I'm NOT going to take a $140 loss on these because of the carelessness of both parties involved. Not acceptable IMO.
