Came late to the cut panel game...but picking up what I can...always wanting to upgrade images, and completing the set, so if you have some to sell let me know.

Thanks..im very jealous of many of yours...i dismissed these at first..but they have been very fun to hunt down knowing there is only one of each image...not looking forward to paying for the dual cuts once the single set is done.

Yeah... it took me awhile to get into the cut cards too, but now they (along with printing plates) are pretty much the focus of my collecting habits. It's very addicting!

Okay so here we go, my first archive cut comic panel. I’m glad I was able to get this.

Really hoping that Topps starts doing this with its Star Wars license. They can’t use any screen used costumes or relics. They have faux costumes, film cels, Animation Cels, stamp cards, sketch and autograph cards. Seems like this is the one obvious new thing they could start doing...

I did have question about the rarity of the card and archive pieces in general. I wanted to know how many of the ba17 did they make and do they all look like this one (with the surfer) or did they have different panels from the same Thor comic book?

I keep notes on this stuff and like to know. It’s one of my favorite pieces I own.

BA17 has a print run of only 30 cards. With that print run I would ASSume that only one comic was cut up so no repeats.

Avengers Silver Age cuts had higher print runs (they hit 2 per box) and some images repeat due to multiple copies of certain comics being cut up.

No, Silver Surfer even has his own base card in this set.

Here's a couple of threads that touch on the banned characters. I think the ban on FF-related characters for base and insert cards started just after the Marvel 75th Anniversary in 2014. Maybe it's started with 2014 Marvel Premier?
