Please don’t be “that guy.” The guy I’ve never talked to before who messages me saying “after 15% eBay/paypal fees....” and “take 10% off and take ff to save fees” to try to work yourself a better deal. I'll respond to this because I'm one of those guys. I sent you a PM a couple days ago on the Saladeen Griffey you had posted on page 131 on Dec 21 for $210 shipped and said I would take the Griffey only to get a response of Oh that post is old sorry man. No new price quote or it's no longer available. Your post on page 131 is still showing the $210 so that's why I reached out on it. Since I didn't get any confirmation about the new price of the Griffey if there was/is one I sent the following follow-up PM "Do you still have it? If so, would you take $225? That's about where the price would be after the roughly 13% fees on ebay and shipping. Can I get a pic if we can work something out? That's the only Griffey I need for my Griffey set. Thanks." Seemed like a pretty harmless PM offering to pay going rate off of ebay and had no idea it would chap your a** like that in terms of leading off a new FS update with what you posted.

Congrats on outing yourself? I’m really sorry that I said my Saladeen Griffey isn’t available for sale anymore- I actually told a few people that via DMs. You could have offered me eBay price and I still would have said no- because it’s not for sale. Sorry that I didn’t put “prices good for 24 hours” I didn’t know this was April 16th again.

I don't care about outing myself and in my PM you never responded that it wasn't available for sale. The responses I got were That's an old post and No thanks to my offer of $225. I didn't say you were rude I just thought it was dumb and really not necessary to lead off with what you did. There are people all the time that make offers like that based on ebay prices. I would much rather sell here than ebay and always take into account the fees I would pay to ebay.

Not related to you guy's issue but still related to buyers and sellers using eBay

I love it when buyers say oh if you sell to me off of ebay you save 10% from ebay fees, but what they fail to mention is they also save whatever the tax is they would pay if they bought on ebay, so they're getting double the savings (well not exactly double but you get my point) and the sellers get double the screwing lol

You can negotiate a price like adults and if a deal isn't made, so be it. But yeah, update your posts.

From a selling standpoint, there is a lot less risk selling on this site. From a buyer's standpoint, I've found sellers more responsive and transparent on BO.
