Throwback: Breaking FULL Case of Walking Dead Season 2

Hey guys, so I figured I'd do little throwback to one of my favorite sets. A fresh unopened case of The Walking Dead Season 2 arrived at my door step today. I will be breaking all 12 boxes. Hoping to find some of the better autographs, cool variants of the wardrobes, an awesome sketch and a chance at the ever elusive redemptions. Does anyone know if Cryptozoic still honors a redemption if it is pulled? I messaged them a few days ago about it and still haven't received a response back. I really don't think I will pull one, especially considering how much of this product I opened years ago, but I know there are still 10 total that haven't been redeemed, so it is possible.

Anyways, I will be breaking these in waves over the next few days. Just thought it would be cool to go back when Topps didn't have the license and when Cryptozoic was really hot with these cards. Here is the actual case below with the results of the first box I opened. Just thought I'd share.

That's awesome. Walking Dead Season 2 is what got me into non-sports cards in the first place. Looking forward to seeing what you pull out of it.

(PS if you're moving any of the wardrobes you hit, let me know as I have a few needs still from this set.)

Good luck with the case! And yes, Cryptozoic continues to honor all of their redemptions, even the expired ones. You just need to make sure to send to their current address, some of the older redemptions list their previous address.

After 100+ boxes since Season 2 was released... I have finally hit one!!!!

Thanks man. Looks like I will be needing that new address! Where can I find it? Excited to hear they still honor old redemptions.

Wow, congrats on hitting a redemption!!! You can send a message to mgeo here on BO to get the correct address if you can't find it on the Cryptozoic website (I assume it's the same address as for the No Purchase Necessary program, just with a different c/o line). mgeo is George Nadeau, who works for Cryptozoic.

Box Break #3...this box was absolutely LOADED with wardrobe cards! I've never had this many hits in one box. My best was 3 wardrobes + 1 auto in previous boxes.

Thanks everybody. I am beyond super stoked about the Redemption. I always flip my cards over (so the backside is facing up)...I like to slow roll all my hits, so I look for the (1/1 for Sketch...the A for Auto...the numbering on the wardrobes, character or walkers....) When I saw the R, I was taken back because I totally did not expect it at all.

Yeah, I know Season 1 is the most expensive, box prices are ridiculous. This set had it all...more main player autographs and a ton more wardrobes. Boxes also have 1 auto and 2 wardrobes while Season 1 had 1 auto and 1 wardrobe. Crazy how this set doesn't get the same amount of $$$ as Season 1...especially when there is the chance at 2 redemptions as well.

I know man...

Honestly, as I mentioned in my first post, I never expected to hit a Redemption. It's definitely probably the best box of the case unless I hit a Glebe sketch card.

Jees this stuff is awesome. You've gotten a lot of great stuff. I love the Andrea wardrobes. I'd love to get all of them, but I'm guessing there's a lot of expensive ones from earlier sets. And that redemption is awesome! I would love to hit that! I've never seen any of this broken. It was out before I started collecring. Way cool! Thanks for sharing the breaks!

Wow. Just had an incredible start to my morning. Hit the Andrew Lincoln autograph last night to end the day and this is the way I start it today. Look at that autograph and especially the SKETCH Card! Definitely the best one I have ever gotten out of a Walking Dead product. Looks so much better in person.

I don't know what else the 7 boxes I have left will deliver but with the results of these 5 boxes, this is my best case ever.

Thanks man. Yeah, Walking Dead was my all time favorite trading card set. Nothing will top the Season 1 and Season 2 sets. Just one of the funniest products to open.

What is crazy is I had no reaction initially when I pulled the Redemption and saw the R in the corner. From the amount of boxes I have opened trying to get one -- it was just something I always hoped for BUT never expected to get. Really took me back and took a few moments for me to process what I just pulled.
