I wish they could do that. That would only make the site stronger. It seeks like graded cards sell very well. How many people are buying cards on the site and having them shipped to bgs?

I do this often when I get a really good deal on a card. An example is I paid I think $8 for a particular card. This card sells for $35 all day long when graded 9.5. I need a 9.5 for my collection. I ponied up the $15 or whatever it was to submit up BGS. If it comes back a 9.5, I am into it for $23 and I add it to my PC. If it comes back a 9 or less, I sell it even if it's for a loss.

Is it smart? It depends on the situation but I would rather take that chance and sub through them than have it shipped to me, send to bgs and likely get the same result. I really only focus on graded cards for my PC so the card is worth next to nothing raw to me.

Itís not cost effective to use bgs if you buy directly from the site and try to sub in my opinion. The scans are clear but there is room for error and not much margin based on the cost unless you are dealing with high dollar cards or hit a 9.5 which is harder to do with the card not in hand.

I haven't tried but I'm having trouble accepting an offer. It freezes up for about 15 seconds and then gives me a message saying "Sorry, you are unable to accept offer from user '_____' at this time."

Does anyone know if there are any rules for submitted Ginter rip cards that are already ripped? I know they sell them, and the condition should be obvious, but I don't want them to be rejected because I didn't follow some rule.

No rules to my knowledge. They probably sell better with the ripped strip than with a missing chunk.

I've been buying things here and there this afternoon - only a few minor snags. The search seems to be struggling for me.

COMC seems dead right now; getting a 502 Web Server error.

Let the new year begin on COMC. I am very excited and planning on a lot stronger numbers for both buying and selling next year.

Anyone know the deal with doing the challenges? I am trying to get history points but every time I check they are always 100% completed. But then I check the leaderboard for the day and those members keep acquiring points.

There is a theory that itrocdac and jobu have access to challenges the rest of us don't. I'm thinking they're either COMC employees or have some website crawler set up to notify them when the page refreshes and has available challenges.

It's always humorous to me that we squabble over the ability to earn 1/5th of minimum wage by playing those challenges. Best I can figure is I earn about $2/hour playing them, whereas I make about $34/hour at my real job.

I hate that. I also hate that my 200 plus points vanished the other day. wtf

I doubt it's just a notifier. I tried setting one up in my browser and it never showed me any challenges at 99% (unless it's a time when they are opening up the challenge to everyone) but did show me when they moved up in the points.

In your real job, do you get to look at sports cards? And do you get history points on COMC? I don't think anyone wants to do it for 8 hours a day but it's frustrating when you can't do it at all.

I’ve only been able to do the challenge one time recent and it was at 4:00am while working third shift, I look all the time but it’s always 100 percent
