My guess is this is correct - I wouldn't buy to pull the card, I'd buy to resell the boxes.

There've been a LOT of these boxes ripped in the past few days...and FINALLY one comes out? I suspect less than 20 total.

The product has a TON of value without the Chrome RC Auto of Ohtani but adding that $1200-$1500 card, even if only 25, has to make these boxes rise. The news will spread and prices will go up accordingly IMO

with people selling in lots of 10-15 and even 30, I think you are overestimating the number opened so far. A LOT has been bought, most are being flipped, not opened yet.

The part that confuses me is why aren't the Ohtani autos live in the product? Were the mega boxes produced before Bowman?

Anyone think BO new this was coming down the pipeline? Someone mentioned yesterday they were offering 25-30 per box on these. Didn't make sense to me because at the time boxes were selling for around 30 on eBay. Just a thought

They knew they’d ask for more than their buy price regardless of this announcement

Waiting for response, but assuming just Mega packs.

Each Mega box comes with 2 mega packs, and 5 base packs.

Topps confirmed these are only in the mega packs, not the base packs in the mega box.

There’s also only been one Verdugo ROY auto /99 listed. Hard to guess how many exist.

Yeah, but that's Alex Verdugo. This is Ohtani. The odds of someone finding out about the Ohtani pull via eBay, Instagram, Twitter, etc have to be at least 90%.

I think prices are still low on the secondary market because this product is still POTENTIALLY available at Target stores for $14.99. In fact, I found a brand new lot of 30 last night at my local target. Once people stop finding these at Targets, the price will increase

Base Bowman chrome autograph well that's disappointing. I guess any autograph is better then none. Can't this this changing the value that much.

Because if youre topps you dont want to waste his auto for retail stuff which people are more ignorant on. People hold these boxes forever too... if you dont open them the prices fall off a cliff once those redemptions expire.

These had value before the Ohtani. Are you just wanting people to open theirs so yours go up in value more?

These are the best investment in the game right now. Other than those people who are killing their profits by driving in circles for hours upon end. What else can you buy and IMMEDIATELY double your investment? And down the road that investment could be worth far more pending some variables. So, no, these are not going off of any cliffs. They aren't even sliding down a small hill. These have value and will hold value.

Maybe Topps wanted to give the average collector a chance to pull an auto at a decent price instead of paying sky high prices for hobby.
