How does that Paxton trade make any sort of sense? You could of just drafted Paxton in the 4th instead of effectively trading 2 top 50 picks if he has a 4th round keeper value?

So you just traded a 4th and 5th round pick for a player that is ranked in the 50s/60s? Why not just draft him at 37 and keep that 5th rounder?

Couple factors-

First, I would have kept him if I didn't trade him. Totally comfortable doing that

Second, I think ksmith likes his pitchers. Worked kinda well for him

Third, I sense a huge overcorrection in SP valuation this year. The secret's kinda out that the best SPs are pretty valuable, so everyone's going to be targeting them. I have a feeling it's going to overcorrect and many will try to go too pitcher heavy, but that's beside the point

Lastly, I traded my 2nd round pick for Berrios and Paxton just before, so a 4th and 2 bumps in later rounds (which is being ignored) seems pretty reasonable for Paxton based on that

Ok good. This is the most exciting time of the year imo.

Last season in this league was sort of a feeling out period for me as I made the transition from an auction based AL only Roto format to a head to head AL/NL Draft. To be able to trade draft picks is so much fun for me. I've spent so much time rewriting my pick list and trying to work out different combinations to maneuver around the order.

Edit- I do wish some of the others were a little more active. They are missing out on all the fun.
