Default IT Chapter 2 Review

The wife and I saw it tonight and it did not disappoint. At almost 3 hours, it seemed to fly by in an hour. Some people thought it started out slow, but it didn't to us. Bill Hader did an incredible job as the older Richie and James Macavoy did a great job as an older Bill. The weakest character in my opinion, was the older version of Ben. He wasn't the same lovable character as in the first one.

There is a one scene that I really really loved (being a horror film fanatic, but I'm not gonna ruin that scene for you.)

The ending had alot of people (including my wife and I intears). I give it a 10 out of 10.

Thanks for the review, saw the first NEW one and thought it was OK and will watch this one also, not a huge horror movie guy...

Going at 1 today. Took a half day to have a day date with my wife since she gets to work from home every Friday.

I thought the 1st one was dumb, so I'll pass on this one.

How insightful...thanks for contributing.

I'll be going next week to see IT 2. I keep hearing rave reviews about Bill Hader's performance.

I’m not into these types of movies but with the actors in this it has to be good. To many great actors for it to be a clunker

I just couldn't buy into the concept, so it came across as mildly retarded. I just couldn't take it serious enough to be scared.

Were/are you at all familiar with Stephen King’s It (the book and original 1990 series) before you saw the first one?

They reserve him for lesser roles.

I knew of it but didn't read it. I'm just not a fan of most of the movies made out of his books, they're all lackluster IMHO, although I did like the Shining.

In my opinion, Bill Hader gave the strongest performance out of everyone.

Which one?
The 1980 movie?
The 1997 TV miniseries?

You didn't see the unaccredited cameo role?
If you blinked, you missed it.

I liked the first one better, but it was a great conclusion and showed hints to the deeper King multiverse. Lots of easter eggs and things pointing to other books and movies.

I agree with others Bill Hader gave a great performance in this movie and Ben was just kind of there for the most part.

Like turtle-type multiverse?

Well, she did marry me, so I consider myself lucky.

Or did you mean lucky that she buys my popcorn and drink, because she did that too!

She’s even sending me to Vegas at the end of the month!

As for the movie, it was solid, but I preferred part 1 more. There were more jumps in this one and more general creepy vibes to this one though!

I thought this was much better then the first one. It’s really long though but there’s not many slow parts. A lot of great comedy and it never took away from the horror aspect of the movie.
