I had them save my gold cap to give to my son. He is so excited. I just gave it to him. They cleaned it up rather well.

Like I said, it was pretty awesome. No prouder moment in the Navy. Then they had to ruin it afterwards by putting me on a plane that limped to the carrier the day before smoking and we almost crashed on launch. I'm still afraid to fly 95% of the time because of that.

The Navy was the best experience I ever could have had after high school. It was hard work, you put up with a lot of BS, but it is highly rewarding; got to live for 4 1/2 years in 2 different European countries, partied hard, college classes were 75% paid for, and it gave me all of the skills and education to get a great contractor job and move up the ranks to be a manager.
