I don’t have a picture of my Baines but I have several of him. He’s from Maryland and his son played baseball at my alma mater.

One of 3 players drafted #1 overall to make the Hall of Fame (Griffey and Chipper) and one of 17 HOFers that were drafted in the 1st round). Hall of Famer, Bill Veeck, whose White Sox drafted him #1 discovered Baines as a 12 year old Little Leaguer. He went 14 years between 100 RBI seasons, longest in history (and only the 2nd over 40 to get 100 RBIs). First player in history to have his number retired while still active. Also the only player in history with 1,000+ games as a DH and 1,000+ games at another position (OF).

ROY HALLADAY

Harry Leroy Halladay
Inducted to the Hall of Fame in: 2019
Primary team: Toronto Blue Jays
Primary position: Pitcher

https://baseballhall.org/hall-of-famers/halladay-roy

Everyone knows about his famous post-season No Hitter, but Halladay also came within one out of throwing a No-No in his 2nd start.

Doc also made 10 consecutive Opening Day starts...4th longest streak in history.

Is it possible that Halladay is underrated, as far as HOFers go? The guy was an absolute beast.

filling another gap in my HOF collection.

I've seen this card in the base version but was not impressed. I really like the purple version though. 33/75. Happy with this pickup for just under $30 delivered.

When I was a kid I would go to games early...run down to the visitors dugout at Pac Bell Park (Now Oracle Park) and collect autographs. I would go to Hotels before and after the games. Here is a select few I have been able to hang onto over the years.

My personal favorite is the Miguel Cabrera signed Stadium Club Future Stars card....with a beautiful Perfect 10 signature!

He was indeed a beast. I reckon it’s possible he’s underrated. But I’d lean more toward him being rated. An underrated HOFer to me would be someone like Joe Gordon or Arky Vaughn.
