No one wanted to share the Fanatics Bowman details either by a post here or privately via a DM. Why am I not surprised

Those others were probably just referring to the normal retail SKUs (or possibly hobby) they were able to pre-order from Fanatics. Word would have got out by now if there was some secret Fanatics exclusive Bowman release.

If you actually qualify for a stimulus check you should seriously reconsider but then again its your prerogative so rip away!

If you can't afford it, don't buy it. I certainly am not because it doesn't take care of my family in a pandemic, and I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. Maybe others will? The market will take care of itself.
first off, dont put words in my mouth, second, this is the complete opposite of what i was saying but you do you buddy. last, i can most definitely afford it but theres a difference from being able to afford something versus being completely stupid about a purchase. And i refuse to be the latter.

Are you saying people that make $70k a year shouldn’t be buying baseball cards?

absolutely not! just saying people that make less usually have less to spend but bottom line is this, people can do whatever they want im no one to try and tell them otherwise. If you can afford it do it! Life’s too short!!!

My outlook on money was changed after reading The Millionaire Next Door. Income is not really a predictor of wealth or disposable income. There are plenty of guys making 250k that are worse off than guys making 50k. And there are plenty of millionaires who have never made more than 50k in their careers.

I'm not picking on you (as you've clearly said affordability is key, and that's valid) but there were others before you who were in these threads giving "financial advice" to those who qualified for a check. That sort of rubbed me the wrong way knowing how many high income earners are overextended themselves.

I tell young people all the time (part of my job) that if you allow your spending to rise with income gains, you really haven't gained anything at all. The key to becoming wealthy is paying yourself first and compounding. Having said that, wealth is always relative. It's a never ending race that you ultimately can't win. I've got a retirement number and when I hit it, I'm done.

I actually got a call from the rep today and they are offering boxes at $160/ea. Hobby boxes.

They were selling HTA cases last week for $2400.

I still didn't buy any.

Maybe this will bring them back around to the outer edge of the galaxy of conceivably reasonable pricing.

I've been trying to figure out why, other than greed, this product has such a high price point.

Jasson Dominguez's 1st Bowman, group breakers, coupled with the fact that Bowman is the most sought-after product for prospect autos. They don't care how high the price is because they have gamblers willing to pay for a chance at the next Trout/Acuna/Wander etc prospect auto, so prices will not fall until the breakers start to lose business. We might be starting to see this finally with many people out of work but at the same time there are a lot of people bored at home with plenty of time/money to spend, not much to do besides being online.

I guess you don't realize how far in advance these are done? Only issue stopping this release is loading docks being closed.
