Well, no.

Yet again, the solution presents itself. Every job has bad actors; but unlike so many, it's extremely difficult to get rid of a union job. Not only that, you're paying this bad police officer their pension for the rest of their life, even if you fire them. So the state goes into debt for paying for a *#!$ performance.

I know the first rule is to never turn your back on the crowd and it’s possible that the recommended procedure is to focus on ensuring no one else interferes with the downed individual while the EMTs approach. Or maybe we’ve got 50 Jackboots who signed up to be police officers just so they could murder old people in broad daylight. It’s possible.[bAbsolutely, depending on your agenda.[/b]

More stuff I didn't say.

What I did say:

"You want apologies to mostly underage drinkers who routinely objectified women for fun then got all weepy when their atrocious behavior went south on them?"

Without adding to it in your whimsical way, what in the quoted statement isn't true?

Your act is so tired.

"went south" is quite the way to describe being CHARGED WITH RAPE, AND GETTING CONVICTED IN THE COURT OF PUBLIC OPINION, FOR SOMETHING THAT NEVER HAPPENED.

Maybe they did objectify women, maybe they engaged in atrocious behavior. Still does not justify a prosecutor who swears an oath to uphold the Constitution denying them due process. Mike Nifong buried exculpatory evidence. That is a cardinal sin for lawyers. He deserved to be disbarred and he should have gone to prison.

The 30 for 30 on it, Fantastic Lies, is insane. When I saw it after it came out in 2016, I legitimately had no idea that they were even innocent. 10 years after the case itself, and 9 years after they dropped the charges. And them being initially charged was a huge story at the time.

Still accurate, we agree, and in that particular case, the consequences were easily and entirely avoidable.

Also, the caps-lock key is not your friend, but I am, which is why I'm telling you that. Us "R"s need to stick together.

Good job today, guys.
I inspected each and every post made in this thread two, make that two and a half times, and some of you were spot on.
The rest? Don't worry, we'll get there.

Congrats. You ended today with one of, if not, THE, worst take of the day.

Well yeah, some college kids acted like jerks, so I guess them being falsely charged with rape and carrying that around for the rest of their lives isn't that bad.

A completely joke from the self-appointed Captain Righteousness. No one's fooled. At all. But yet you'll continue to hold your head high.

The consequences were easily and entire unavoidable.. if it weren't for the DA that knowingly tried to bury them, while being aware they were innocent. But yeah, those damn kids were the real problem.

A freaking joke.

You wouldn't use this same rationale to describe George Floyd's case, would you? Putting the focus on his criminal past (assault and robbery, armed theft, drugs) and wrongdoings? That the consequences were easily and entirely avoidable? If he only didn't try to rip off the store owner with fake money?

No. Hell no. Because you know how ridiculous that would be, when someone else's wrongdoing COMPLETELY OVERSHADOWS the wrongdoings of the victim.

Agreed. I was going to reply to a post where he quoted me earlier and realized he's not worth the effort.
He tries so hard, for some odd reason, to be witty and almost Raoul Duke like.
Still hasn't figured out nobody's buying his schtick.
The more I read, the more posters I find that just aren't worth the time and effort to converse with.

Major difference is that the vocal majority and his peers all rallied around Kaepernick. The people who didn't agree with Kaepernick were seen as the a-holes... ignorant, unaware of their own biases, racist, etc. Drew Brees is getting set on fire by mainstream media and is taking a lot of heat from his peers... one teammate (Malcolm Jenkins): "STFU, Drew." There's a different sense of pressure when your own teammates are not just disagreeing with you, but actually attacking you.
