2011 Panini Playoffs Prime Cuts RC. There are only /99 of these, no variations. These are ridiculously rare and hardly pop up for sale. One sold a month ago for $4,550...and it was raw. I can't imagine what a graded copy would sell for. I suppose since it's so rare (only 99) just having one would be good enough.

Just the Contenders and Prime Cuts.

Contenders have a few parallels, I think /299, /149, /49, /10 and /1.

Prime Cuts are /99

These have gone up a lot lately. Might be because buyers are getting priced out of other PSA 10s. It's caused the other lower serial numbered versions to jump too though.

I remember a couple people here posting they don't like this card and that it's not really a rookie card of Trout because of the 2012 shown on the back. Last week sometime I read Panini marketed this as a 2011 although released it in April 2012 and then released a 2012 version in October also of 2012.

I did a little digging and found the a 2011 prime cuts thread. In the thread, blowout member VWBUS1978 posted the following explaining why a 2011 RC was released in 2012

"For those of you wondering:

Panini had their MLBPA contract made retroactive to 2011, which allows them to make X number of products for that year. THEY WILL BE DOUBLE DIPPING this year.

in reality, for 2012, they will have double the amount of products coming out than a "normal" product year."

Yeah, I was one of those people who felt his Topps Update was getting out of reach. So...I went for Contenders. Managed to collect a PSA 10 example of each parallel, except for /10 and 1/1’s.

The 2015 Archives Trout Auto card, gold /50 just popped on eBay. Not my card. I know there's some people here trying to get it, so trying to help you out before someone outside of BO gets it (if you're okay with the seller's price).

Its graded PSA 7 with a 10 auto. The seller listed at $850 BIN, no offers accepted. I like the way BGS labels the card as opposed to how PSA labeled it.

Thanks Speedyjg! I actually pulled the above Trout at the National in Baltimore in August of 2012. The chase for the product (I think) was a Shoeless Joe Jackson Bat Barrel card. I figured "why not buy a lottery ticket?" In the end, I may have hit one of the true "product hits" that day. To think I put it on a table raw before grading with no interest at two shows makes the card even more of a keeper for me today. What a wild ride.

Curious if anyone here knows the whereabouts of any of the 2011 ITG Heroes and Prospects Glove autographs. There were 5 total each one was a 1/1. It looks similar to this one (not mine) but has a batting glove instead of a hat. IIRC the card was separating slightly d/t the thickness of the patch. I'm not looking to acquire any of them, I sold one close to 6-7 years ago on eBay and just hope it has a good home. Weird request I know, just was telling a buddy about the card the other day

I predict the card that sold today will outsell the card from the 23 feedback user with no sales history.

I'd feel comfortable enough paying it. Let's not forget you got ebay and paypal both backing you. So worse case is you have 20k+ on hold for a couple of weeks. People who are buying this card probably can afford that. He also has some other very nice items for sale. Including an Acuna 2017 Red Shimmer PSA 10.
