Default Sports Card Investor from YouTube...

Geoff has been recommending everyone to buy Anfernee Simons, Jordan Poole and D'Angelo Russell prizm base recently. What do you think about these recommendations?

Honestly, if you watch your fair share of basketball, it should be evident that most (if not all) are definitely not buys. Just my opinion on those players mentioned.

I know it's a bubble because I'm seeing Facebook ads of dorky-looking twenty-somethings who have "The Secret To Sports Card Investing!!!" Same guys who use to sell crypto secrets.

By the time the video is live they've already bought said players and can then unload them.

Lonzo is on the cheaper side right now...imo. If he stays with Zion in NO his value is bound to go up. Especially if they make a run in the next couple years.

Jordan Poole ranks a strong 345 out of 354 in PER. But hey he's better than Sekou. I am a Simons stan, but unfortunately he isn't much better.

So today he's comparing buying sealed boxes to buying mutual funds, and recommending 2019 Prizm as the way to do it...when 80% of the value of the box is from two players. It's like buying an index fund that's 80% weighted toward Apple and Google. Are those players/stocks good? Yes. Are you really diversified against volatility. Oh, hell no.

Jordan Poole...that's just nutters. There's no hope of meaningful upside there. The theorizing is all based off chart trading - the theory of if it's going up, it'll keep going up. That's obviously not accurate.

But you gotta admire his marketing chops. I wouldn't follow any of his advice, but I might copy of some of his technique.

As high of a ceiling as I think Simons could have, it really can't be ignored how poor of a season he's had, especially when compared to his other draft class teammate, Gary Trent Jr. People always gave him the benefit of the doubt for his poor performances due to his young age, but I just found out that both Simons and Trent are the same age. Could never really buy into the Simons hype, especially when Trent cards are still readily available in the market for a quarter of the cost.

Ya'll laugh now.

But Curry is another broken hand away from being a bed ridden vegetable. Poole the ultimate chef hedge.

Did the Blazers trade Dame or CJ?

I know people want to compare stocks to cards, but it's foolish.
