Sadly, there's a lot of truth to this.

A lot (I could find a range of numbers, but I won't) of people cull their "news" from their own little social media world and that's problematic for many reasons.

Mostly it's the reach of completely unvetted sources and clickbait headlines. It's a whole industry of quack journalists who are more focused on advertising and beholden to no one.

I believe the credibility is similar between Tommy Lee and Trump. The primary difference between the two is that Trump is better at marketing and Tommy Lee is a better musician.

The primary difference here would be the context of the comments. One was said in jest to a supportive crowd as part of a larger comment about how shameful it would be to lose to Biden, while the other laid out actual plans in the event that Trump wins, no jokes to be found in the context... just more baseless fear, which is a liberal speciality.

I don't get this comment. Isn't Trump the one who constantly warns about this and that coming to take your job, your children, or your life? I mean, he hyped up that caravan of immigrants so hard and then not a peep once the election was over. Trump campaigns not on policy but on fear. I watch his rallies on his Twitch channel so that I can see the unedited version, straight from the horse's mouth and it's all fear and chaos that he pushes.
