Very scarce and very pricey. That isn't the only "hit" found in that product. It appears now, that is the lesser of the two Kobe pulls possible.

I'm glad I actually posted this. I fold, my budget is 10K and that's moving some cards to afford this. I hope one of you KOBE serious fans get this rather than some investment group. F@ck those guys. While I do appreciate the value of appreciation but the hobby has turned into giant cesspool that most people like me are getting priced out now. Talking about survival of the fittest. Oh wells. I'll just submit my raw version and hopefully psa gives an 8 or higher. Super tough to grade.
On the second note, do you guys do anything like simple trick to clean the surface of the card?

Will be fun to watch. Did you guys see the credentials 10 that’s also on eBay? 1 million! Haha. Take a look at that credentials card - the card is cut crooked, pretty crazy - and crazy that PSA still gave that a 10?

It's silly or crazy to say. If your are super rich; these cards are just pocket change. Imagine Jeff Bezzos raiding ebay lol. He couldn't outspend his revenue. Lol. That Kobe credentials is just beautiful. Call me crazy; but I would take that card over Jordan Fleer RC anyday.

Even with inflation rate factored in and compounded monthly for 1 year. 5K last year still sounds great as long you didn't buy with credit card.

I bought allot of stuff in the last 3yrs pre covid. I would have bought even more if I had access to more capital. I did what I could. I still did very well but it hurts to look through card prices sometimes. Anyways I was very close. I even mentioned it to my wife and she laughed when I told her the card was 5k.

Here is mine for for comparison. I pack pulled this one and sent to grading myself so I know for certain it is not Altered.
Focus on the shoe area and notice how the psa 10 is showing less of the shoe.
There is also a BGS 9 currently being sold by PWCC and that one is definitely trimmed.


Even if its not trimmed that is definitely not PSA 10 worthy.

Just from an eye appeal factor, yours looks better than that 10 to me. Those borders on the inner window on the 10 are horrible.

Pulling this card in a box is one thing. Finding one in PSA 10 or BGS 9.5 condition is nearly impossible. Just incredibly hard to find a mint copy of this card.

There’s a Kobe base about every 1.75 to 2 boxes. The ratio of PSA 10’s to the number submitted, is about 1 PSA 10 for every 155 submitted. If the math holds true, that means you’d need to open about 290 boxes to find a PSA 10 quality. (BGS 9.5 is just as rare).

Thanks and yeah they definitely dropped the ball on that PSA 10.
I regret not upgrading my BGS 9 all these years.
Maybe if I had an ugly copy I would have or maybe I'm just cheap lol

That Kobe is currently registered to one of the #1 ranked PSA Kobe Rookie collections.

Maybe the eBay seller and PSA member are the same and they just decided to break up the RC set but paired with the old PSA case and suspect condition, I hope the buyer really inspects that card/case upon delivery.

It's definitely the basketball equivalent of Jeter's '93 SP. Maybe once or twice a year at most an auction pops up.

If the Topps Chrome is really going for $20K+, this should be at least double. Should be a lot more than that, imo, but a lot of newer collectors probably don't recognize the rarity/significance of it like the Chrome.

I don’t think it’ll hit $55,000 but you never know. I’m thinking potentially somewhere around $30-40,000.

They were smart to raise it. People get gunshy about BINs even when they're fairly listed or even low. On a rare card like this, I wouldn't be shocked to see the auction go above the BIN, which will get hit immediately afterwards.
