My CC economy 9/16 went into assembly on 4/3. Went into Q1 and Q2 yesterday with the list disappearing last night, still in Q2.

368 Economy order that was logged 9/3 finally popped.

7 months after logging is amazing to me, but it’s going to get worse before it gets better.

Honest question. My economy order logged 10/16 is my first ever submission to get a card graded so I was just curious as to what you thought the cards that got 7s were gonna get? You said the 8s were expected so I'm sure there was obvious things like off center or a corner ding. I guess what I'm asking is were you expecting anything higher than an 8 for that 7?

I'm asking cause my 6 cards looked like 9s to my untrained eye so I'm wondering if I'm right or 8f they'll come back 7s lol

So its wierd, my very first submission just popped last Fri (also Economy). There were cards that I thought had no chance of getting higher than an 8 that got 9s, and a few I thought rhat were 9s got 10s. In the flip side there were a few I got 5s and 6s that I thought were solid 8s. But I submitted mostly 90s stuff, which can easily catch you off guard due to surface issues that an untrained eye cant see. Couple cards I were dead wrong on were the Kobe E-X 2000 rookies. Notoriously known to throw people off now that I learned.

The 7 I thought was 9/10 range so I obviously missed something
The 8s were foil cards, why I expected 8s
2 of my nines I expected 8s so it all washes out
I have learned that you have to be realistic and take the good with the bad

I hate to be that guy.

Ctd dates are basically a farce guys.

I was just informed, after asking about dual grading ctd dates they are the same as the specified service ctd dates.

"The service level will dictate the CTD. Dual service is a type or service, while regular, express, value, & economy are all service levels. The CTD will only show the services levels since that is what all orders would fall under.

What ever level your dual service order was entered under, you will use that to tell how far along your order is."

I have 2 orders in regular service entered in November 3rd, raw to dual grade, and a mixed batch of TPG'S with minimum grade 1. Therefore, if the auto passes, they holder them. This way I felt they could grade the auto by looking at it, and would get hung up on meeting a high minimum grade through a holder

2 crossover, (these were ALREADY PSA auto graded and just needed the card grade) which isn't even listed as a service, entered december 14th

So....WTF I've asked customer service..odds I am the ONE guy who's order isn't in the tracker....0%!

Anyway, just venting. As like you all, I have quite a bit of money tied up in these. Sadly, the prices ARE NOT steaming ahead, in fact a few low pop signed cards surfaced in the meantime and the values got squashed for the time being.

My oldest order moved to Assembly last night which is awesome. Finally starting to see some movement on orders. Hope the Economy / CC orders that were Entered a day after move soon as well but will take anything I can get at this point. My last completed order got back to me last August! Can't believe its been almost 8 months since I have gotten a PSA shipment.
Second Economy order moved to Assembly yesterday and first moved to QA1. Progress although they managed to skip over my CC Voucher order Entered the same day....

Depends on what you are submitting. I tend to do a lot of 80s / 90s Football and Basketball cards. On 80s cards, it comes down to centering mostly. I use the Grademaster centering tool. That is the easiest thing to check because PSA puts out their standards as to what the different levels are. Next I check corners and edges. If there is any softening or fraying (common on these cards as the blades weren't the greatest to cut the cards) then I'll usually knock it down a whole grade. Finally, you need to check the surface for any scratches, indentations or print defects. If there is anything majorly wrong in any of these categories then I won't bother submitting unless its a huge card.

For 90s cards it gets a little more complicated as the cards became more glossy and "high tech". Centering is still key on these but surface / edge / corner issues are more prevalent. There you really need to check surfaces as Chrome cards are prone to scratching and foil cards to chipping that will really knock you down. Plus, its really easy to miss on first glance but make sure to check for cardboard loss as these cards were / are prone to bricking (even back in the day) so when they pull apart the cards can get damaged. Sometimes you only see it under magnification as its so small but will really knock the grade. Again if there is any major issues I won't submit a card unless its a huge card like a rare MJ insert I want for my PC. To further complicate matters, each issue can have its own set of things to look for as well. I know PSA is a stickler for the foil Upper Deck logo on the back of those cards as an example.

At the end, its a lot of trial and error and comes with experience.

Any chance grades updated on the pop report for PSA before it pops for you? I sent in a 1998 Topps East/West Refractor Michael Jordan/Kobe Bryant and its currently in QA2 (list disappeared), grades haven't popped for me yet. But last night when I checked the pop report it showed 63 PSA 9s and 63 PSA 10s, just now I checked and there's now 64 PSA 10s in the pop report. I'm crossing my finger the new PSA 10 is mine and not someone else that just happened to coincidentally submit at the same time (not exactly a common card raw.)

Edit: nevermind my grades popped and it was a 9 as expected. A little disappointed now with that tease lol.

Just had an order that was all the way in QA Check 2 get put on a "Receive Hold" and labeled a "problem order" with direction to call. Of course the callback queue is already full for today. I wonder what could have gone wrong all the way at that stage?

Edited to say- it was a 15 card order with one Kobe card that skyrocketed since submission and is severely underclaimed in value. Anyone who has been upcharged- is this the process there?

I'm pretty sure they need updated CC info, even if your CC hasn't changed since the submission was created.

I had this happen in the summer - in my case, the card I used when submitting the order was no longer valid when it finished. My order got put on hold and I had to call them to give them a new card to charge. Might this have happened to you?

Yeah they don't update the pops til much later in the day and after you can see them. I thought this once as well.
