If you're thinking about selling, the best time is now. If you're thinking about buying, it's best to wait!

I can't blame them, but UD seems to be putting out more Metal sets niw. I assume they are capitalizing on the PMG craze. Marvel X-Men and Hockey recently, Marvel Spider-Man coming down the pike. Not sure about other sports.

The PMGs in the Metal sets look like cheap garbage.

Seems they made a PMG parallel of every. single. card. too.

I agree with this. I have only come to notice the marvel PMG's in the last 6 months, coming from hockey, and the ones from 2013-15 look amazing. The numbers are limited so hard to see a so called bubble bursting when more people take interest. I am thinking of even getting a few of the bronze versions while they are available.
I am also wondering if the less popular character's will soon follow the trend and go way up, especially the emeralds.

2017 Fleer Ultra Spider-Man metal error card similar to the Hulk I pulled. I wonder how many other errors such as these exist.

They were always highly coveted. Of course nobody knew they would be 5 figure coveted. Nice collection!

Just saw a 2013 blue set BIN got hit for $45,000. You got house money in those greens......

Have you considered selling?

Curious to see what the PSA 9 Spider Gwen Blue PMG auction will end at. I’m sure once she makes her MCU debut this card will be highly sought after.

I dont see any big sales from red,I know about 4 disappeared literally overnight a few weeks ago between 200 and 400. Anyone seen any sell more expensive? I know there is one listed for a ton

Does anyone know how common the 2017 pmg metal pattern/refractor cards are?
They had to be earned through e-pack.

This has been a topic in a Marvel group I am in. 'Patterned' cards are created in e-pack by combining 10 base metals (which you then lose).

Many believe these are rarer than originally thought although they are not serial numbered.

My guess is between 50-75 but that is just an educated guess.

The PSA 9 ended at $1925. Figure a raw is worth between $800-$1200. That's a big premium for a PSA 9 and seems a bit high but we know how tough they are to grade. Looks like 4 unique bidders after $1k.

A red that was on sold for about $400. I made an offer and got countered for that amount. A little too much corner damage on the front and back, one corner each, for that price. The one before that was sold for $350 OBO. Not sure what that was. Prior to that they were between $200-$250.

I feel the PSA 9 was a solid purchase at $1925 (not mine).

I have taken so many of the 2017 Metals in-hand (both PMG and base) and they are SO tough to find without surface, edge or corner issues. To me anything graded 9 or better carries a serious premium.

Probably more common for less desirable characters than others. Cards like Venom are harder to trade and thus pull off a foil. These foils can still be made today, but good luck! I think base metals were 1:3 packs and it takes 10 copies of one base to make a foil. It would take numerous cases to just do one on your own.

Rainbow foils of popular characters, certain inserts, and web foils are even rarer. Rainbow requires 100 copies of a card. Rainbows couldn't be done for Metal inserts. Web foil rainbows and base rainbows of Team-Up inserts are insanely difficult to pull off.

That card was originally mine. Pulled 2 of them from ePack back when I was busting tons of it. Graded it and sold earlier this year for $400. Good job to the buyer for holding and then flipping it.

Still have another raw blue one thankfully

I have been hoarding Rhino cards to eventually rainbow. I am sitting at 220 base and 6 silver foils. Still need 20 more base to make 3 rainbows.

I have collected up (84) Rhino base metals (MM5) on COMC and have another (10) in-hand. Glad to see another Rhino collector here!

Any thoughts on what a 2017 FUSM Metal Venom Black Printing Plate may be worth?

I busted box of retro back in 2013 and recently dug it up. Pulled a red and blue PMG. Unfortunately no big names. I was wondering is the PMG from 2017 and 2013 or any years after 2013 the same? Same feel, same etching or did they go more foil than etching?

Im a big PMG guy. But Im not liking the newer feel of PMGs where they almost feel like a foil card rather than an etched texture card. Also is a certain more in demand for marvel PMGs? like 2017 is better or more desirable than 2013?
