I can't justify spending what they are asking now. I plan on waiting until they go on clearance/sale like a few other products have done recently. I think next year if people are spending the same way as they are now, prices/production will drop giving more value to products.

Just scrolled through 45 autos from this. Chas McCormick has a helluva RC image going for him, but an utterly forgettable signature.

I hope Janson Junk has a long career as a middle reliever appearing in Topps products once every 3 years.

The inscrutable Trey Amburgey offers up an inscrutable inscription on his auto.

There are some interesting ‘vet’ cards offering mid/early career on-card auto. (I know, not RC, worthless).

Rodolfo Castro has a sig befitting all those o’s rolling around his name.

If Trevor Rogers can throw pitches that move like his crazed “signature” he will be unhittable - why do credit card companies even bother with sig confirm any more?

Best card I saw - Patrick Wisdom Rookie Cup. Yes, I think I will enjoy shopping the low low end singles from this, now that it’s 2 pinks/$35 and I quit ripping for some of those, thus missing out on my back-up Catcher RC auto fix that I usually pull from this.

It’s not as good as it used to be, but his signature is still better than a lot of others out there.

Also, credit card companies aren’t looking at signatures on receipts. I don’t think they really have for decades now. No one sees it. I just sign those with my first name only.

I believe the lowest these can get to would be $225 and if Witt/Jrod get called up it can be max $750/box by release

My prediction is at least $350

Hobby boxes down to $149 on BO for the Black Friday sale. It's only- what- six weeks after release? Always fun to look back and see how predictions panned out.

Went ahead and grabbed a Wander base auto redemption because it appeared SPd to me, and I figured that was a better purchase than a sealed jumbo box.

At some point with these continuing price drops, a Hobby / Jumbo Box with a Silver Pack will start to become attractive as a good buy. Doesn’t sound like we’re there yet, but maybe close?

I’d buy Chrome hobby with a silver pack for $25. Across the entire product line, it looks like there are only a couple thousand autos total of Wander, JRod, and Witt. The EV on this can’t be more than $30-40/box, and that’s if the condition of the cards you pull is acceptable.

There is nothing to like. There really isn't.

Huge print run.
Bad QC.
Most the singles you couldn't give away.
Some of the key cards are redemptions.

It's going to go down as an all time bad product.

I'm not kidding I wouldn't want it at 50 a box with silver pack.

There was a moment this past Summer when I was happy to get pre-sale Hobby Boxes from BO at $299 each. That moment is now looooooong gone. I watched this Product transform from Topps Chrome to Topps Crap, and it was ugly. Between this Train wreck and the Tatis Train wreck, I’ve taken a few sucker punch hits this year

( not complaining/ I’m sitting at the Grown-Ups Table when I buy - just saying…. )

Likely to be the same with all Fanatics releases? They have to recoup that huge overspend to get the license. All downward from here.

This is what most flagship releases will look like for a while. S1 S2 Update TC TCU. Until there’s a massive drop in prices…these releases will continue to destroy those buying, those ripping and those holding them.

It’s funny- this doesn’t happen to me with Basketball Wax- it’s full of consistent winners. Yet, I still buy mostly Baseball, which is my Sports true love. Maybe I have an unrealized self esteem issue, and like the pain!
