I'm hoping to go to the La Plata Veterans Day Parade today and then do our errands. It all depends on what time my wife is getting her nails done.

Poor FT might not get to go to his 87th parade of the year because he totaled his car and his wife needs some me time.

maybe you could get your haircut while she gets her nails done and spend come quality time with her......i am guessing she may be going to your beauty salon to get this done.

would also save your MiL a trip to drive you there

Waiting to get my order from Lowes and sitting in my truck. Just watched a guy with a 6 foot albino python get out of his car with it wrapped around him and walk into Lowes.

People are odd.

Thanks. First 24 hours he's doing good per the vet so far. Another 24 hours of fluids and observation and we can take him home assuming all is well.

No she didn't; or she's just not telling me because it's bad.

She wasn't able to get her nails done today as her lady was off, so she has an appointment tomorrow.

Nope. Her nail lady is in Waldorf. They don't do nails at the hair salon we go to.

I saw a guy with one of those around his neck in the booze party district in Orlando back when I was in the Navy and was sent down there one weekend to train reservists. That was a wild weekend.

Hilarious that my Son and I watch this guy on YouTube that compiles video of Karens and we got to see our first one live today. Of course my Son started to video tape her on his phone and I had to have him stop as that is illegal in Maryland without the other person's consent. I don't want him getting in trouble like Linda Tripp.

We were at Taco Bell and I was taking my Son to the bathroom as we were almost finished eating. Some Karen came in and started yelling at the cashier. She claimed she went through the drive through and ate in her car. She came in to throw half the food in the trash and wanted her money back because the food was "bland." She kept going off and yelling and cursing at this woman until the manager came up. Manager basically told her to pound sand and they weren't giving her the $10 back. This went on for quite awhile and finally the manager had enough of her and called the police.

Just as we were leaving, an officer showed up and went inside. We waited a little bit in the car, but had to get to the parade so we never saw the ending. What we did see was hilarious and sad at the same time.

The La Plata Veterans Day parade was long; about 45 minutes. I couldn't believe how many JROTC members our count high schools have. It seems the sea of uniforms never stopped.

Two high school marching bands and tons of veteran motorcycle groups, car clubs, and jeep clubs. Dude and his wife were even in period costume as he drove a 1903 Oldsmobile.

Now my complaint; yes you knew it was coming. I just find it a sad state of affairs when the La Plata VFD has only one piece of apparatus in a parade in their hometown. In the past, they used to put every piece and their two antiques in the parade. The Charles County Rescue Squad in town had more apparatus in the parade than the fire department. The Greenbelt Police Department, located in another count and about 35 minutes away, had more apparatus than the hometown fire department.

And all of the emergency apparatus were last.

Next year, I'm going to suggest we put our secondary engine in the parade and have our veteran members ride in it. I was going to see if we could do that this year, but I didn't realize the registration ended back on October 14th.

And my wife had an issue with someone which I find hilarious as she always says something to me when I complain about people at parades.

She and my Son were sitting on the grass and when the parade started, some dude just walked up and stood right in front of them.

MY wife kept muttering how rude that was as they walked by and found a curb to sit on elsewhere.
