THJ and Bullock are both supposed to be three point specialists. They’re both unplayable right now. They started off last year the same way, so I have faith they work it out. But it’s brutal right now.

Honestly, Mavs scoring was not the issue tonight. Yes, Luka always does more than he should have to for them to be successful, but it was the 50%+ shooting from 2s and 3s the Celtics had that did them in.

Ideally, you'd prefer not to have his usage so high, but there's really no option with what he has around him. Him having the ball in his hands give them the best chance.

I’m so tired of this team. Double team Luka, win game. Cuban should be embarrassed with what he’s surrounded Luka with. Dorian made a few shots in the fourth, but him, Bullock, and THJ went 7 for 21 and 3 for 16 from three. They’re not going to win many games if this is how those three are going to shoot every night. THJ is legitimately unplayable right now. No defense, turns the ball over every drive, and can’t hit an open shot to save his life.

Just a lousy team. Luka doesn't have much around him / Wood and his playing time are an oddity.

Dallas will be fighting for 8th all season and it's probably going to put the kibash on Luka's MVP chances, even though he'll have the best raw totals.

He played 43 mins tonight. Coming into today he's second in the NBA in minutes per game and second in the league in usage.

I just don't think that's sustainable for an entire season, but I don't know what the answer is other than keep riding him.

He played those minutes tonight because he’s not going to play tomorrow. They did they same thing in the Clippers/Rockets back to back.

The game plan, coaching, and players have been awful. All they do is stand around the 3 point line waiting for a shot opportunity. They can't hit the broad side of a barn but they continue jacking up 3's. Especially when you can't make them but they keep doing it anyway.

THJ has missed 13 threes in a row is 3-21 overall in his last 3 games. Bullock is 7 for his last 28 from 3 and they're supposed to be sharp shooters. That is a dismal 17% combined. They've been pathetic and that's their primary skill set. They need a trade to shake up this roster. Another player or two who can drive to the basket in 4 on 3 situations. Shooting and missing 3's over and over is not how you beat a double team and make the other team pay when Luka gets doubled all night. If Kidd keeps it up and he'll be on the hot seat soon enough.

If just two of DFS, THJ, and Bullock were shooting just okay, they’d probably have another 4-5 wins right now. That’s how thin the margin is for this team.

They need to re watch the game against the Lakers from last year when Powell had like 30 points from making them pay from doubling Luka all night. He continually drove to the basket, stop shooting so many damn 3's in those situations. It's not working. Play to the strength of 4 on 3. Their infatuation with shooting so many 3's is killing them. They should be able to get a lot more high percentage shots then they're taking with an extra player. Set some off ball screens, have cutters. Do something different please.

The entire team positions itself around the perimeter and no one is in position to get a board. For a team that chucks up 3s luke the Mavs do, they are so poorly coached. They play with incredibly low BB IQ.
I think they really believe that Luka has real magic and rely more on that than working hard and playing smart.

It's all related. They can't shoot and they all stand behind the 3 pt line in which they're 20+ feet away from the basket for a rebound. 3/4 of the players start running back the other way as soon as the shot goes up and don't even try. Josh Green is the only one who will fight for an offensive rebound in those situations but he's nothing special of a player overall. Just plays hard. This team is really lacking in talent and the coaching has been bad.

Hardy scored 41 pts in his last game down in the G league. He's now averaging 29-4-4 through 9 games, with 55% FG, 48.2% from 3, and 87% FT. Play him already FFS... They must be the dumbest coaching staff in the league.

Outside of Luka, Wood and green this team absolutely sucks and Dodo really lives up to his name can't pass to save his life and makes a ton of dumb plays in the game.

So even the great luka needs another superstar… I love it. The burnout on this guy is showing 19 games in. Absolutely predictable. 9-10 firmly in the 11th seed

Absolutely. You could tell the first week of the season. Pretty sure I called out his over usage around then. It's not just the other players either. James Harden and the Rockets tried this style of play for 3-4 years with no success. You can't just have one guy control every aspect of each offensive possession; just doesn't work.

There’s no alternative. The only other ball handler on the team is Dinwiddie. The only other shot creator on the team is Wood. Literally everyone else is dependent upon Luka to create for them.

If the other guys can’t make shots, there’s no hope for this team. Same as it’s always been.
