Not even. If this works, it will work next season. Integrating new parts into a system takes some time and you're still working with two stars who are routinely missing games due to injury. The only constant from a health POV was Westrbook.

Lakers have 27 games left; and getting out of the play-in game would likely require at least 19 wins. I don't see how that's realisitic.

Sounds like the Clips would be interested too now that the John Wall experiment looks to be over.
Was talking to my buddy who’s a Clippers fan and he said the same thing. I could actually see Westbrook doing this haha.

He can be petty but I love it.

The Lakers can still trade 2029, so Bojan is firmly in play for the Lakers.

LA's backcourt 3x'd overnight. D-Lo is miles ahead of Dennis at this point in their careers, and I'm assuming Beasley will be starting at the 2 from the jump. Finally putting a rest to the TBJ experiment.

Those two will offer a massive upgrade in terms of floor spacing and allows AD and Bron to really work the inside. Also gives them a 3rd shot creator which they were lacking.

Unsure what Minnesota was thinking here, especially since they've been surging as of late.

Still crazy to me.

Agreed. Can’t stay on the floor and is marshmallow soft when he’s on it. The only thing hard about him is his crying.

I really don't understand this. Beasley can shoot. Vanderbilt is a hustle guy with some skill. And we know DLo can ball. Seems like they gave up very little (sorry Russ) and got value back? What's in it for the other two trade partners..??

Tatum and Brown combined for 16 points on 7/23 shooting and they were missing Smart / Horford / Williams.

Very impressive. The role guys all played extremely well.

Westbrook signed a 5 year contract with the Thunder

Played 1 year with the Thunder
Traded to the Rockets
Traded to the Wizards
Traded to the Lakers
Traded to the Jazz

And it sounds like the Jazz might buy him out allowing him to be on yet another team to finish this season.

Blazers gotta just blow it up. Give me a Bucks/Blazers trade of Lillard/Grant for Middleton/scraps/and picks.

Holiday/Lillard/Grant/Giannis/Lopez starting 5. Can dream

Jaylen Brown with a facial fracture, so he will miss a little bit of time. Celtics have great guard depth though, so they shouldn't miss much of a beat.

Brown plays the 2. IMO, it's going to be tough for them to compensate for 27 lost points per game. Most especially with Smart out. White and Brog balled out today, but I don't foresee them both replicating that kind of performance on a nightly basis.

Tatum's going to have to ball out. Not exactly what he did tonight, but Philly gonna Philly.

Are people just looking at his averages?

Yup. Wolves are better off. Conley is the type of floor general they need. Has experience playing with Gobert and also can be effective off ball when Edwards needs to iso. And he at least tries to play defense,

As for the Lakers, I see a 10 seed. That roster doesn’t really seem that good.

Great news for me this morning! No longer do I have to support LeBron and the Lakers.

Russ was put into a very difficult situation in LA and he struggled mightily at times but the amount of disrespect he received was way, way over the top. He sucked it all up despite being openly disrespected by LeBron and the coaching staff - Resilient and durable through it all. For the lay-person he was the scapegoat for everything wrong with the Lakers and the blatantly pro-LeBron media machine in LA gleefully pushed this narrative. Yes, it was a bad fit/a bad trade but there was a multitude of other mistakes made by that front-office that compounded its failure.

Very interested in where a buyout might see him land, couple of possibilities that have me excited!
