One thing to consider re: The Checklist. This is about as good as we could have hoped for, but also about as bad. They held two Top 5 overall prospects for Series 2. That doesn't hurt the checklist much though because you've still got another Top 5 overall prospect, a Rookie of the Year, a Rookie of the Year runner-up, and plenty of depth.

The main problem with the "checklist" is the print run. There will not be a base card that reliably sells for over $1 by the All Star Break. The #'d stuff will be sweet, but we'll need brentandbecca to come out of retirement and open 10,000 cases of this stuff to get it out there.

Awesome doc. Must watch for kids of the 80s/90s. The "Corporate" leaning judge screwed him. Pepsi was in the wrong. They should've paid for it.

One of many problems with this promotion - the odds haven't been made public.

Michael Harris has a nice image in the set, but it's a horizontal fielding image, sure to annoy some folks here. But it's a very strong photograph and If I collected him, it would make me happy.

If they’re offering 250k for the set the odds will be staggering I assume.
Although risking 250k for a more attainable (real) chase would bring a lot of publicity and could be a shot in the arm to the hobby this spring, I doubt it will be the case.

PSA figured out they dont really need sports specials anymore, They are getting half a million Pokemon cards in a month and are riding on that.

Definitely a good start so far! We won’t know definitively if it’s a smaller print run overall until we see all format odds.

I don't know which is why I am asking but do different offerings for example Hobby vs. Jumbo vs. Retail etc... have different odds? And if so could it mean one platform could have less printed but another be printed higher than the previous year ? Just wondering if they could print less of Hobby and Jumbo to wet everyone's whistle so to speak then crank the crap out of retail (Hangers, Blasters, Fat Packs etc...) because once the Hobby and Jumbo dries up everyone runs to retail for that fix. Retailers win because they move more product because we know you dry up one platform the people will flood retail because they have FOMO fever.

Rainbow foil: 1:10 and 1:10
Green rainbow: 1:153 and 1:135
Orange rainbow foil: 1:257 and 1:227
Red rainbow foil : 1:391 and 1:345
Vintage stock: 1:789 and 1:696

Clearly lower print run for 2023?

Releases Wednesday so distributors and pre-sale orders should arrive to the end user by that day.
