Really cool to see it broken down like this.

Panini messed up the OG obsidian color blast by putting a line around the blast which makes it look like the player on the card just let out a big ol fart. Can't get over that and it prevents me from collecting them despite the 2021 design being much better. I still prefer night moves over all the obsidian designs. I also like that Night Moves is a ssp case hit in a popular release vs a niche product like obsidian plus I always prefer vertical designs over horizontal.

I had my eye set on the 21 night moves ending tonight but I'm guessing it'll be out of my snipe range with all the chat today lol!

I'm an equal opportunity collector...majority of my Mahomes collection consists of rookies (can see in my Flickr link below). I just picked up a recent low serial number mahomes rookie that I look forward to posting, once received. I just love some of the recent SSP inserts that I was referencing above (black backgrounds with vivid color schemes). I don't ever sell anything (at least yet), so I have no reason to pump anything. I have the luxury of being able to collect what I like and just enjoy talking about it on the boards (because by wife has zero interest in listening to me talk about it...).

I really think we are going to get to a point where mahomes RCs get too expensive and everybody starts chasing other stuff.

Some people just like chasing rare and/or good looking cards.

If I can buy a Prizm Rookie for $5,000 or my favorite insert that has 5 copies made for $300, I'll go with the rare card that might not pop up for another year or two. I could go buy a Prizm any time I want... but that might just be the collector in me.

Wow I just checked out your collection. Your rookie collection is absolutely unreal and impressive. I know you said you don’t sell ever but please let me know if you ever change your mind!

Prices didnt go up after last sb win too. It happened the following pre season when football was back. Which I expect to happen again.

Buy now and stash!! Buying anything good over the next 3-4 months should be safe, with good upside come next preseason

same thing happened with Brady after #4...then prices went to the moon after #5

Picked up another one of my favorite Mahomes RC. It is my 2nd favorite after the Gold Vinyl/Gold. I used to own it in a PSA 10 slab but sold it two years ago. I bought a BGS 9.5 this time, similar to the Gold Vinyl. I will post the pictures when I receive the card. Anyone care to make a guess?

it hasn't yet, and like was mentioned before, probably won't for a while.

i've even seen his Prizm rookies come down in value.

Card are down, period. We're never going to see the prices we saw in 2021 again. At least not for a long long time. A new floor is being established and it will take a while for that reality to set in.
