at that time I believe you could still get a solid grade of Yordan or Wander first chrome auto for that much.

Early buyers of the top guys in new rookie sets are almost always going to be major losses. The longer you hold, usually the worse.
If you bought BC autos at release that later shoot up prospect rankings, you will make money unless you hold forever.

Kelenic had an awful debut, but his rookie class was so bad people were way over spending on him as the top guy. If you were buying those at release, that was dumb.

He is so good in the highest level of minors and spring training

His prices are idiotic period. People just refusing to take Ls. I say even if he does perform, prices won't move cause they just don't make sense.

I’m talking about auctions. Buyers are refusing to let sellers take the L. Obviously they’ve come down from their highs, but still.

He could possibly be learning to hunt fastballs, like what Dansby does. I've posted the fangraphs bit on why Dansby is successful I think twice now - but in a nutshell it's that he swings hard and hunts fastballs. It's a repeatable skill, because he's gotten better at it. If Jarred can learn to do that, he's got a future in the league, because he can absolutely tattoo a baseball.
