State of California defines victim as:

What harm did Rendon cause the person in the video to make them a victim? If the person was taunting players, it's hard for me to see how they could be a victim if a player takes offense and grabs their shirt. That's why I said Rendon might have been mistaken and accosted an innocent fan.

If you have seen Ken Burn's baseball, they cover this in detail - it was a racist remark. Ty Cobb didn't apologize, was suspended and they thought he was going to be banned, but the whole Detroit Tiger team went on strike till they brought him back, which didn't take long - Ken Burn's baseball watched in full gives a great history of baseball.

Not sure if the other video has been posted but there’s an overhead shot where the guy is clearly yelling crap at each player as they walk by.

Doesn’t condone Rendon grabbing him but the guy is clearly a wussy that peed down his leg when Rendon confronted him lol.

Sadly that's most of the "men" in our US society today. They feel they can say and yell anything they want, right in another man's face, with no repercussions.

When they realize they are about to suffer repercussions from someone who doesn't tolerate their disrespect, they magically and instantly learn how to be respectful.

Agreed that there are repercussions for saying things. Discuss the line when it’s ok for the repercussions for words to include physical acts. That’s what the crux of the matter is.
