Wasn't he in 2021 Bowman? Maybe the only guy worth anything out of that product if his early production is not a blip.

Bought a series 1 gold card a couple days ago at BIN, didn’t want to get sniped on current auction card which is currently at $14. Think I did BIN at $20

He shoulda struck out 8 straight times last week against the Astros but Framber hung an 0-2 slider and the ball probably collided with Pujols’ shot off Lidge while they were orbiting Mars. Dude has pop but he’s a wild free swinger

As a Cubs fan, I really want and hope for him to be able to sustain.
However, I think the holes in his swing and his mediocre pitch recognition doesn't age well. Of course, he could figure it all out and become a star but there's still a lot of work to be done for that to happen. In the meantime, I'll enjoy the bombs while they last.

He got off to a hot start when he debuted last season and his cards took a nice jump. Don't think he sustained it enough to warrant any player threads at the time though.
Although that is nothing compared to how great he's playing right now. |

If he played the Phillies @ CBP every game of his career he’d have HOFer numbers after 3 seasons
Phillies should trade for him so he can play there 81 games of the year

8 home runs in 11 games is intriguing and 6 HR in his last 7- his strikeout numbers are alarming - take the money and run

He’s got a ton of tools: big arm, runs well, hits the ball very hard…but he’s not good at any defensive position and he strikes out a lot. As a cubs fan I’m hopeful he can figure it out, but I wouldn’t say I’m optimistic.
He has been about the hottest hitter on the planet this year between AAA and the show, so I’m also going to enjoy it for now!

I built up a nice stash of him over the offseason. All of that is gone save a few base chrome.
To the sustainability question; do I think he's going to hit .390 with 100 HR over a full season? No, obviously. Can he sustain an above average OPS+ with a little bit of pop? Absolutely. My guess/bet is he is at his all time hobby high right now, even if he ends up a really good player. The BCA that I thought I got a pretty good price on given his true talent level are selling for 3x what I sold them for....and I wasn't exactly cheap given where the market was when I sold. I don't know what you're looking for hobby hype wise, but he's up at least triple since the offseason in a market that is at best flat. That's a huge gain.

Feels to me like his upside is Javy Baez without the defensive value. His best defensive position would probably be one he won't ever play (RF) but I feel like he will be relegated to "utility player" which generally just means you're not good enough to be a starter at any one spot

Aquino was a 25 year old rookie. Morel is 23 in his second year.

Is it likely he'll fall off? Yep. But could he just maintain the bottom line for a few years with frustrating hot & cold streaks, like Baez? Also yep. Of course, Morel will never have GG-caliber D like Baez did -- that's a significant difference & it'll likely keep Morel from ever having staying power. |

He was on fire in AAA before the call up this season. He had 11 homers in 29 games
Dude can hit. Who cares if he strikes out a lot...if his OPS stays above average, no one will care about the strikeouts |

If you would've read my first reply I clearly stated the strikeout numbers are alarming...but the power is 80 grade. He is more intriguing of a prospect than aquino ever was.
