Great accomplishment on the perfect game. A perfect game is a rare accomplishment and it shouldn't matter who it is against as they are all still major leaguers.

You won't hear an answer back or it will be 10,000 excuses like my signature says. Sexual assault and domestic violence.

I don’t like those guys either. Were we supposed to view them as great people? There’s actually a lot of info out there about Puckett not being the nicest of guys.

Those A's came here to Milwaukee and swept the 1st place Brewers. Also, I didn't know Domingo German's jersey number was 0, weird looking.

They beat the best team in baseball 2 out of 3 games a month ago

The man made a mistake and hit his then girlfriend but yet you can sit on your sanctimonious high horse and condemn him for life. Actually only one woman in my life been married thirty years without incident but keep judging other people and comparing the size of the sin, tells me more about you than I need to know.

A lot of perfect games against pretty bad teams

Jim Bunning against the 1964 Mets (53-109-1)
Sandy Koufax against the 1965 Cubs (72-90-2)
Len Barker against the 1981 Blue Jays (37-69)
Mike Witt against the 1984 Rangers (69-92)
Kenny Rogers against the 1994 Angels (47-68)
David Wells against the 1998 Twins (70-92)
David Cone against the 1999 Expos (68-94)
Philip Humber against the 2012 Mariners (75-87)
Matt Cain against the 2012 Astros (55-107)

That said, there is definitely the type that seeks out physically abusive relationships and in the instance you find yourself defending the abused there is a very high probability you'll draw the crosshairs of both parties

Hey now! Don’t forget about Roy Hallday against the Marlins! Don’t you dare have a conversation about awful teams and leave the Marlins out!

We all make mistakes never said that and this isn't coming from some sanctimonious high horse. He hit a woman in public and you seem to think that's ok...tells me more about you than I need to know I suppose if we are playing that game.

Congratulations on being married for 30 years...that too is a huge accomplishment and I genuinely mean that.

2010 Marlins were 80-82, losing record, but not terrible. The teams above were atrocious.

Were they? We’ve had so many 100 loss seasons they all sort of blur and I lose track of the years they happened in.

Makes Don Larsen doing it in a World Series that much more impressive.

I never said hitting a woman was okay, I said he shouldn’t have his whole life judged on that event. Hitting a woman is a pretty low thing to do but you can have that one moment where you totally screwed up but should that one moment define your life.

Face it he is not the poster boy we wanted to see pitch a perfect game with the domestic violence and the cheating substance but in last nights game at least he was not pitching with a substance but the thought will always be there and that goes the same with the abuse. he might never have hit a woman before and he might have never hit one after but the burden is his to bare for that one offense.

It's unfortunate and that's the world we live in these days, he's guilty and always will be it seems. Hopefully he learned and hasn't done it and never will again, my concern is if he did it in the open what happens behind closed doors. I've come to live with the fact that the Astros will always be known as cheaters, even if they don't anymore, just how it is.

Whether he's a poster boy or not your team got a perfect game and that's huge, I think they have the most as a team in MLB. I honestly didn't even think about the sticky substance thing and more about the domestic violence. The entire sticky substance thing is what it is and I think a lot of players are still trying to find a way to get an edge.

Nothing will ever top that unless someone else does it in the ws. The ultimate would be perfect game in game 7.

You are right about being worried behind closed doors, I hope it was a one time incident but I am sure statistics would say otherwise. I would hope it was because he wasn’t used to alcohol and being drunk made him a person he is not on a daily basis.

Yep 4 perfect games but the first one on the road.

Nice talking to you and we will all have opinions about situations like this but having a rational discussion helps us understand each other and find out we are actually good people.

You really want to break the interwebs let Shohei Ohtani be the one to do it.
