Was curious to see how he was doing in the minors, and it's been a rough little stretch there. 23 games is a decent enough sample size, and only slashing .231/.330/.374

Funny how he was doing better in the majors than in AAA lol

2-5 today.

He has raised his average 20 points in the 12 games since his return. He batted 5th today.

Willson Contreras might be a disappointment, but this kid looks like a bright spot for the future.

Another HR today. Has a hit in 28 games. Only 2 games in his 34 game career without a hit when he had at least 4 plate appearances. Pretty incredible stuff for someone who just turned 21 a month ago.

Yup very exciting. I was at the mets game yesterday and his presence is definitely noticeable. HR in back to back games so we might see that power showing up.

I'm just lost how he still has negative WAR. Is he that bad defensively? A guy hitting what he is shouldn't have negative WAR.

Yeah his defense is going to bring down his WAR until he gets used to playing the OF. The Cardinals should just stick him out there the rest of the season and let him develop since the season is lost anyways.

He should create a BO account and create a thread on it. Maybe start within a $80k asking price? Maybe he can do the ol’ rope-a-dope and pretend like he doesn’t know what to do, and then when people give them advice, “Shut up, you idiot! I’ve been doing this a long time. This is my 3rd superfractor. I know what I’m doing.”

Just a suggestion since he’s asking for advice.
