I’ve been working all day and just checking the score now. Are the 49’ers having trouble sustaining drives and is the 49’er defense playing like crap?

That's not to say it's a perfect comp to Purdy and let's say Mahomes (he's very likely in at this point even if he never takes another snap) but both have their places in the game and both can be highly successful. Purdy doesn't need all of Mahomes athleticism and playmaking ability to succeed in his own right. This is not me saying Purdy is already top-tier or anything remotely like that. It's me saying that he doesn't need to have elite physical traits to still be a highly successful QB. His x-factor may well be his cerebral assassin approach to the game and playing without mistakes, kind of like what Montana used to do.

Ironically, there was no need for this thread, as our boy is going to be in hiding for a while.

As for Purdy, looked good at times, but still don't fear him as a playmaker.
