just a heads up, blowout has on sale 2015 Bowman Draft 12 box hobby cases @ $999.77. Its a safe product to buy and hold. I bought 2 cases may buy another. There are no super super stars but cant go wrong at that price. Dealer buys are $80-$85 per box now in off season. Dave and Adams buy is $80 per box. Rookies are Austin Riley, Kyle Tucker, Ke'bryan Hayes, Ryan Mountcastle, Dansby Swanson,Walker Buehler, Ian Happ, and a few lesser names. Plus no redemptions.

How exactly is it a safe product to buy and hold without any superstars? It’s hard to see anyone on that checklist making the HOF which is what you need for these to hold value

Agree - unfortunately krmcards, these boxes / cases really have no where to go but down or stay flat at their present price ~ there’s just nothing there

Agree unfortunately.

When I purged part of my unopened collection last spring, I reviewed the checklist closely on 2015 draft and sold my 6 unopened boxes.

Still weighing my options for 2018 Update and found an old screenshot for the odds on the 24-pack retail boxes. Am I crazy or are these borderline better than hobby boxes odds wise?? No clears or blacks of course, but everything else looks equal or significantly better to pull than hobby boxes.

2011 and 2018 are the only modern baseball years id be holding onto. 2017 FB wax might be a nice buy in the offseason if Mahomes doesnt win the SB, Im also looking to buy 2015 hockey.

I would consider 2020 football.

Hanger boxes were the best I think.

I do believe the 24 pack retails are the best bang for your buck depending on buy price. There was another thread that broke this down.

for "modern" here's what I like:

Football: 2017, 2018, 2020 (I know 2020 was over printed, but it's a QB rich class)
Baseball: 2018 and modern select releases directly from topps (Ginter x, cosmic chrome, etc...)
Basketball: singles
Hockey: singles ( I do have some 2015) NOT buying the current UD releases. Too overprinted.

That’s correct! 2018 Wax Expert Tim broke down all 2018 products in one of my Threads about Ohtani Wax, and he mentioned the 2018 Topps Update Retail Box as having one of the best coalitions for hitting key rookies ( minus the ‘big’ hits you get with hobby or jumbo )

So grabbing some 24-pack retail boxes for several hundred dollars less than a hobby box sounds like a good buy and hold!

The bottom line is buy in price. Honestly, this applies to any product.

Realistically, I would be looking at this for the golds/rainbows, etc. I'm a fan of the singles but they are VERY plentiful.

BUT, if you are buying to hold, it doesn't matter.

Edit: I remember buying retail with the member Those Back Pages for $45 a box upon release. Good times!

Imagine buying case upon case at that price...

I see 24-pack retail boxes for $690 shipped to me. Very tempting to grab one.

I haven't checked prices, but that seems solid.

$690 shipped is good - what a great box to own for under $700

Yes, good price.

Two retail 24 pack boxes for roughly the price of a hobby box? I would do that.

More like half the price of a Jumbo box.

Hobby are $1k. Recent sales on ebay, 835-999. Can buy now for 993.

Jumbo are $1.5k. Recent sales in the 1500-1600 range. Can buy now for $1495.

Retail $99.99 out of stock none today

How many do you have left? Are you the one who had about 10 cases?
