It's not a real autograph card, it's a cut from an autographed CD that most of us bought for $12 when it was on her website. Leaf cut cards aren't really any better than any other custom cut card in my opinion (and often they are much uglier).

Guessing she would need to sign off on a card if it featured her name…Fans of the Game would make sense…

Ah, that would make a big difference indeed. The one I’m picturing would be an on-card auto in a football product. Sky’s the limit

You're surprised people aren't lining up to pay more than $1500 for this fugly cut auto booklet???

Muah! I'm glad the flippers are losing money on this. I'm just amazed Leaf only made 11 of these.

According to the previous Leaf owner, you can't even get an appointment with Taylor Swift through her manager without the deal being a minimum of $40 or $50 million. Would Fanatics pay that out, who knows.

Insane. But I believe it. There goes the licensed card idea then probably. Makes you wonder how much some of those commercial spots with Swift you see on TV cost.

As to that booklet above....ridiculous. I mean I guess that's all they can work with, but no pic at all of either of them.

Oh I wasn't defending the card, I thought it looked terrible, but people still paid a lot of money for it. Although I think many did it hoping to flip it if the Chiefs did well, which didn't work out even with the Chiefs going to the SB and Swift being all over the NFL telecasts.

My niece is a hardcore "Swifty" and among her demographic (young adult) they HATE when people or companies try to make a lot of money off flipping Swift items. Flippers probably thought they could flip the Kelce/Swift booklet for tons of money, but most the Swifties (lol) probably rolled their eyes when they saw it.

She was mad at me for buying so many of the Folklore signed CD's for $13 when they would drop on her website because I was going to resell most of them lol

That's a good point. However I will say the target audience for this type of item is card people rather than young adult Swifty's. For example, if Panini/Fanatics actually did come out with a Swift auto card, it'd be no doubt going for $1k+ and the target audience wouldnt be that young Swift fantatic, but rather the typical 30-50's age card guys (including flippers and 'hypebois' trying to make bank on the gimmick). Yes it might reach the wider public's eye from an online article or two, sort of like how that George Bush/Jeter card from 07 Topps went popular, but at the huge price it'll be...the audience would be card people- especially the football collectors of those sets.

Eh...'rookies' in nonsports in general. More than anything else, it's about the hobby trying to designate one card of that person so it can soar in price...that about sums it up in a sentence.
They actually don’t show her that much during the Chiefs games. What you’re reading about is disproportionate to what you see on TV.

As for Billie Holiday, it would have been interesting to see what a, say, 1950 card of hers had gone for in 1951 if ebay and the internet existed then. I would say Doris Day would have been a better comparison to Taylor than Billie. She was the top selling female artist for years, I think until Madonna came along.

My feelings about “rookie” cards for nonsports - meh. Not really a thing.

It seems to be a fair bit, I've watched the games. Nothing compared to the length of the game footage obviously, but pretty much after any big Kelce play or Chiefs TD...at least lately. Cant imagine what'll it be during the super bowl. On a side note there is currently a pre-order on a shirtless Jason Kelce Funko pop....smh.
