Yes, on the account where I still have to enter the verification code.

The workaround (which is even more annoying than the verification code, if that's possible) which I have used:

* Click on the "forgot password" link

* Enter username and email address. It will then prompt for a verification code

* Fetch the verification code from the email

* Go to the site and enter the verification code

* Enter a "new" password (can be the same as the old password)

* Confirm "new" password.

After that, I'm in.

Have never sold on COMC before but have a bunch of $1-$10 cards in boxes that I'd like to sell. Do they run their processing fee sale at the same time of year usually or is it random?

I wouldn't count on a processing sale. As you're sorting cards to send, you might set some aside which you would consider processing if there's a sale.

They used to have processing sales around the time of the National, and sometimes for Spring Cleaning or Black Friday, but they haven't had regular sales like that in years.

Usually, the sales are more targeted toward cards they want people to send in - higher value cards, or newer cards. These might take the form of a $1 processing fee being reduced to 70 cents or a $2 fee being reduced to $1.40, but only on cards of a certain type or from very recent sets.

Today, their website is as slow as their shipping.

If you win a COMC auction for say $1000 and have $800 in credit, is there a way to exhaust your credit and pay the remaining balance for the item, or would you have to deposit funds into COMC (and lose 10%) and then lose another 10% to use those funds to pay for the auction (in turn, losing another 10%)?

I don't believe there is a way to split payment. Probably something you need to email them about.

You have a week to pay so most of the time when I don't win an auction and don't have enough SC to pay I have sales that cover the rest

A couple of issues. COMC's support button isn't really of any use any more.

A few months back could actually type with someone after waiting like 2 minutes tops.

This has likely been brought up before. Won 3 auctions last night on eBay. Paid within 30 minutes. Now have that account suspended, pay for your items.

There is a Ehlers /3 jumbo patch auto. That will go for too cheap, so thank me later if someone buys it. It ends very soon.

Anyway, realize it it is likely an eBay issue. Anyone know a way of unsticking that no-bid policy on eBay?

Problem with bid
Attention buyer
Unfortunately, you cannot make offers or place bids due to a history of unpaid items on eBay.

Please go to your Purchases in My eBay to complete any pending payments so you can continue making offers and placing bids.

You may also search for other items with the Buy It Now option and pay to complete your purchase.{e208723-1254762x}

That's the message from eBay.

UPDATE: Figured it out. Put yourself in the eBay computer's shoes. Non-Payer.

Just went and bought a couple of cheap cards on eBay BIN free shipping with a couple of different sellers. Paid for them with Paypal. So now the computer thinks I am good to go again.

But a note in the future. I'd paid for those 3 auctions yesterday with 30 minutes. So it would be a good idea to pay right away after winning.

UPDATE PART 2: Well this is getting friggin' annoying. Bought a couple cards BIN on eBay like I said. Paid for them. Bid on a card won it. Paid right away.

Bid on two more cards, won those. Went to bid on another card that I really wanted, and got that Non-Payer message again.

I think the issue (man, I love technology) was that the two recent cards that I'd won hadn't been paid for yet. So the computer things you're a bad boy again.

So before before bidding on anything else - make sure there are no Awaiting Payments on your COMC account.

That might mean some fancy dancing of winning, paying right away, bidding. Could be a challenge if 2 auctions are ending at basically the same time.

I still can't figure out how to get live support. Does it even still exist?

Yet again I am having an issue where I cannot request a shipment. When I get to the page where I choose which shipment level I want, it won't let me select anything. The last time this happened we (meaning me and "support") guesssed it was because some of the items were in remote storage and that was the holdup. But here I am again. If that's still the issue, then why am I not getting a message that that's the problem? If that's still the issue, how am I to know which items I would need to remove from my request in order to be able to select a shipment level.

I'm so sick of telling COMC about legitimate site problems, having them jerk me off, and then nothing happens.

I've been complaining about this one for YEARS. Search for Tom Brady. Select Only Sold Out. Hit your browser's back button. Search for Michael Jordan. You'll see the problem. I cannot seem to retrain myself to not navigate this way, but it's not exactly a big ask for them to fix a bug like this. Every time I get the same stroke session.

Odd bug aside, couldn't you just refresh instead of navigating back? Or search on the results page? Open five tabs and search for all the players to your heart's content? Seems odd you're so concerned about a small use-case bug.

Here's one from Karma Will Get Ya files:

Repriced a $295 card. Made a bad mistake by throwing a decimal in there, so it is now a 2.95 card. Never done that before. Someone buys it overnight.

Contact support through email to please reverse the sale, obvious mistake on my behalf. Wait a week, no response from COMC Support.

Send another email explaining the problem again. Get a reply within a day as to why the process is taking so long to get the card back in my account. They had to untangle a couple of problems:

The buyer had shipped off the card for grading...

That's some dirty pool right there. Karma is going to get ya.

UPDATE: Card back in my account this afternoon. Hope the buyer didn't get the grading fee refunded. That would be some poetic justice.

I addressed that in my post. This is how I navigate and I run into it nearly every single day. And as I said, it's not a big ask. Show me one other legit website that has an issue like that. It's not about the issue itself, but more about it being an example of how responsive COMC is to customers and how dedicated they are to excellence.

Small sample size, but that has happened to me twice recently. I attempt to engage live support and it directs me to submitting a help request. No response for a week. But when I submit another help request regarding my first request they respond quickly. I wish they would just tell everyone the truth and not be so scared of the truth. I'd rather be told the bad news than to be told that the bad news is actually good news or worse... completely ignored.

That live support is just a red button an a page theses days.

A few months back you could chat with someone in minutes. It is frustrating for sure.

You made a mistake and you hope the person who bought the card is monetarily harmed….because they tried to send the card to be graded????

Correct. If it was me, I would contact Support and say the seller has obviously made a mistake, can you reverse the sale for them please.

I sure as sh1t wouldn't send it off for grading to try and make even more money.

You should search the site for underpriced cards, but instead of buying them, contact customer support and let them know that the seller is making a mistake.

If there was a card that was obviously priced 100 times lower than it was, I would buy it and contact support.

But you just do your passive aggressive thing there pal, it's a good look for you.
