I sold my Wemby Galactic on FB last week for $2,500. I was asking $4,000 and was basically being laughed at for asking that much. I think most people would rather have a Silver Prizm Wemby that are printed to the moon than a Galactic Revolution...sad but mostly true.

Their loss is our gain. Silver prizms look like dogshyte compared to galactics anyway and there's probably 6-10k copies printed by the time Prizm ends for the year.

Completely agree. That's how I'm starting to look at it. Give me cool numbered or SSP Revolution cards all day vs. Prizm. I like to buy raw Prizm to grade and sell then use the money for stuff I like. That's Prizm's value to me.

Yep. Look at another silver card in the One and One numbered to /99. Looks classier than prizm, numbered under 100. Goes for less than silver prizm.

I don't get the logic but the only thing I can really think of is old heads stuck in the MJ "true rookie" headspace where they consider Prizm the "true rookie" even though it wasn't the first set out or anything.

Update on my attempt to build the Revolutionary set out of Revolution this year. I've opened four master cases and only hit one and that's what the word on the street is; one in four master cases. I think people are starting to realize how hard these are to pull. I missed a LeBron that sold on eBay this week for over $800 and also missed the Jokic last week that sold over $500. I bought the Luka on FB for $300 so that is looking like a really good deal at this point. Long way to go but here's what I have so far out of the 25 card set:

All it does now is make it harder to get them XD.

I'm not pumping anything. I'm building this set for fun and I don't care if the prices go up or go down. I'm mainly a vintage baseball and 80s-90s basketball collector. Every now and then I like to break new basketball cases and find a fun set to build. Bringing a little attention to a set that most people pay zero attention to is not a bad thing.

It's just annoying from someone also trying to collect it as well. Same thing happened with galactics years ago. Talking about cards while you collect them just draws more eyes, especially "omg these are hella rare!" sorts of posts.

speaking of Galactics, did you see what the 2015 Klay and Draymond went for last week? I have most of the run for the Warriors big 3 but holy moly they either got shilled or a couple ppl wanted them really bad

Yeah pretty high for those guys. Hard to tell with PWCC, though. A lot of the prices there wind up making little sense to me.

Looking at a case of this stuff. Looks like a decent value with the auto checklist and the amount of Wemby possible. Anyone else gone the case route?

Sure just as I can post whatever I want in the same way. People are allowed to be annoyed. Half the forum wastes air complaining about Nomad and Hermano's posts all the time. Saying "c'mon man..." when someone is pumping sh*t you're collecting is fair game.

I've opened four master cases so far this year and they are a fun rip. If I remember correctly, each inner case (8 boxes) contains a "case hit" which is either Prime Time Performers or Revolutionary. Each of my inner cases have contained a Galactic as well. I'm not sure if that's a guarantee or not but that's how mine were.

I pulled (3) Prime Time Performers and only (1) Revolutionary out of 4 cases. I also pulled 4 Galactics. Best of luck if you decide to go the case route, just don't come back and show us any cool cards you pulled. ninjabum87 won't like it. She's very sensitive about people who enjoy talking about cool cards you can pull from Revolution.

I would not worry too much. No one really cares unless they care and those with $800 to spend on an insert already know. Last insert like this that I remember came out in 20-21 flux, Full Capacity. To me Revolutionary is a little cheese drippy, but it's a matter of taste.

I don't care about people posting cards. I only got annoyed at the "wow you guys, these things are super mega rare, look at how people are catching on, here's what some of these are going for."

Fixable at least. Can always paint the top loader strategically with a marker.

People prefer the Prizm Silver Wemby's to the Galatics because Prizm is easier to grade than Revolution. Revolution comes out of the pack looking beat to hell on the corners. The tops and bottoms usually have chipping. Love the way the front of the cards look but way too many issues.
