Transactions boost search rankings across your listings also having 400 Transactions in a 3 month period your measured on a 3 month cycle instead of a 12 month for defects you may incur for returns or things like that. When I am selling items I pay a few dollars for and flip them for 25 to 200 each it's really hard concern yourself with the 25 or 50cents you might lose on a 3.00 piece of cardboard. You don't have to make a profit on every transaction.

I look at it as advertising.

Interesting thoughts by both of you. I'm always trying to improve my sales and you two have great a knowledge base that helps the rest of us. Thanks!

Recently been seeing people try refunds (not just 1 rated buyers too) on items I just shipped. For example, item shipped out on Monday, they state it was supposed to arrive on Thursday (even though it may be across the country) and that night they request a refund. Look at tracking and will say arriving on Friday now or be running another day or two late.

I am not sure if it is a scam they are trying to run, don't know shipping is slow or what.

My BINs start at 1.59, auctions at 1.29 on non graded items. I am thinking of raising my BINs to 1.99 and do offers with automatically accept/decline at a certain price.

For anyone who does the offers with auto accept/decline, how have you liked/disliked it?

I only do the auto accept/decline on higher priced items to avoid the super low ballers. Pro: You don't have to deal with low ball offers. Con: If the market moves you have to adjust. Because of my high volume, I like as much hands off as possible.

I have offers open on every single listing. If I get a low ball offer, I just ignore it. It's not worth it to me to not accept offers because I get so many volume sales on them.

I dunno if the auto decline feature is having issue today or it's because when I enabled it on this.

I have item @ $40.

Offer received: $17.

I declined

They send another offer @ $23

I Counter: $31
They recounter @ $20.

At that point I enable auto decline @ $29.

They sent another 2 offers after that I had to decline personally and weren't auto declined.

Could potentially be a scam but in most cases I chalk it up to dumb buyers that rely solely on the ebay notification of estimated received date instead of actually looking a the tracking info. I really hate that ebay does that estimated date because they have no control how slow the post office can be sometimes especially if weather related.

Is there a way to tell if someone has been suspended for non payment? Will their profile be zapped or are they simply not able to do anything on their account?

Generally tgey just won't be able to do anything ebay rarely narus accounts for non payment anymore. Even then tgey will only be blocked from sellers who have tge blocks set.

You can go in and see where buyers get blocked from your listings due to blocks you have in place

As long as you shipped in your stated handling time you are covered just tell tgem to open a claim with ebay no need to get into back and forth with them

Likely because tgere were already lower offers that have been made by same buyer on it. Personally when tgey lowered their offer I would have blocked. Tgey proved with that they really don't want it and would rather play childish games

Interesting. Seller I spoke about last week has a ton of fake positive feedback that are actually sellers leaving him feedback for non payment. I wonder if his account is frozen.

If they are leaving feedback there is a good chance the sellers are not giving them unpaid strikes. If that buyer contacts ebay. Ebay will remove them and could in some cases suspend the sellers leaving them.

It won't even affect the blocks unless strikes are actually being given

My sales are down around 20% from last year though I have far more listed. Hasn't been a good month at all. The first quarter went well though.

I did just notice my shipping on time is now not perfect. Its .05%, I was curious why and there is one mark now that wasn't there for an item I shipped in June of last year??? Must be some sort of glitch or something.

Did you fall from 3 months to 12 months. If you fall below 400 transactions in previous 3 months they will start counting defects up to 1 year old. As long as ypu stay above 400 you are counted for only 3months

It wasn't there yesterday. I looked and I had 535 sales the first quarter and I currently have 769 for the year.

It's tge past 3 months and you likely have a eval date or the 20th. Based on tge numbers you stated it's very possible this is tge cause those indicate since April 1st you only have around 230 sales. Ypu would need 400 from february 20th til yesterday to stay in the 3 month evaluation. Should tell you on your dashboard

What does your dashboard show as your evaluation period? The timing of tge one from last June popping up sounds like you went to a 12 month eval.

However just looked at mine since evaluation and everything for me is showing 12 months except shipping time it's on 3 months

So far this year I have purchased 32 cards that have had to go through authentication on their way to me. That represents a little over 15% of my total spending. As of yesterday afternoon, I had sold zero. As of today, I have sold two (one each of Tucker and Devers). My inventory is now falling for a good reason...sales!

I've always had cards worth thousands and tons in the hundreds rotating through my possession. But I think what has made me the most successful over the years is the foundation of lower end cards. Higher end cards are volatile and will be hit the hardest if buyers pull back their spending for any reason. Because of that, I almost never target those for purchase, and when I get them I am usually aggressive in trying to move them. But I am always amazed how how steady my income is from low value cards in the $1.99 range. I know everyone can't do it because of the time involved, but if those aren't moving I would recommend looking at changing up what you purchase. Buy more cards of lower value where people aren't as likely to pause at spending that money.

It says next evaluation is June 20th, 2024 for seller rating and for shipping time it says Transaction period: Jun 01, 2023 - May 31, 2024.

Shreve is right, they are evaluating you on a 12 month basis because mine says:

Transaction period: Mar 01, 2024 - May 31, 2024

That is what mine says as well. Evidently has fallen below the threshold since Mar 1st. I was thinking it should be February but looks like they are at March 01 instead.
