Over one week in green checkmark assembly. I did send a 1962 stamp in with my order, so maybe an issue with that not counting as part of the special...

I gave up on waiting for email updates. I'm treating it now like borrowed money with interest when it's eventually paid back lol.

Looks like they patched this I had one order showing a graded slab that did not pop yet yesterday and now its no longer showing the image. Either they patched it or something is wrong with my card!

They patched it so you can't see images on the order page, but I can still see 8/11 images in the source code still.

I'm going to assume the fires are what's causing USPS Priority Mail delays from getting my recent submission to Newport Beach.... they are pretty dang close to that whole mess there. I suppose I should have just waited.

Well just got my worst summission of my life, this beat the last few submissions that were also seeing fewer and fewer gem. I mean seeing gem rates of 40 to 50% were considered low but 1.5%. 2 submissions 65 cards. Cards ranged from 1999 to 2019 mostly chrome or highend.

1/10 24/9s 28/8s 10/7s 2/6s
1.50% 37% 43% 15% 3%

My home page on the website looks like the following when I am signed in. The gray boxes in my order contained some images of cards already in slabs until earlier this morning, even though I am still in assembly. If I right click and view page source, I can find some of my graded card images.

Interesting! Here's how mine looks. What's the URL for the home page?

Exactly in line with what I’ve seen.

Welcome to the PSA era of—“spend a CRAP TON of money for us to ignore the condition they are actually in, and instead, just dramatically lower the value of your cards.”

I don’t see it ending well.

Aren't PSA drop-off events supposed to include faster turnarounds? At least that's what I was told at the event. PSA rep said my cards would go to the front of line, bypassing their backlog.

My order was entered in the system quickly, and graded pretty quickly... but now over 2 months in Assembly (over 1 month with solid check mark). Also past the expected finish date, wondering where the value is for drop-off events. If PSA only accelerates the intake process, then lets orders rot during encapsulation, where's the value to me?

Only positive on my order is that PSA was kind enough to put pics of all my graded cards on my homepage. Feels like they're holding them hostage or something... clearly no sense of urgency at PSA.

Sounds like you bypassed the Grading backlog, not the Assembly backlog

They definitely have both backlogged plus R/ID right now. I have an October special that's been in grading stage for almost a month now. My November special received on 12/13 is not even in R/ID yet.

No rush but really looking forward to getting my 131 card order back since that's going to knock out a few bills for good.

I have a mid 1980's Baseball/Football order that was received on 11/4 and has been in R&ID since 11/22. Can't think of any easier cards to ID than those.

Crazy thing is, have had a lot of 90's/00's that were received after that have already finished. PSA's process is so strange.

I yeah and i am inspecting these under lights and magnification and some of these I can't find a flaw that would make a 10/9 to 7 or 6. There are a couple where yeah I missed something but 99% have been total wtf??? I'm going to crack about 20 to 30 to see what SGC thinks just for testing to see what is up. Now I just consider a 9 the new 10

Honestly, I just wish I knew what changed. What are they looking for now? Did they change a requirement? PSA 10’s are now about as common as BGS black labels. Does a card have to be 50/50/50/50 plus perfect elsewhere to be considered?

The only thing I can think of is that the centering or surface requirement has dramatically changed (you can’t get better than a perfect corner or edge) but not been made public. The website states: “not to exceed approximately 55/45 to 60/40 percent on the front, and 75/25 percent on the reverse.” This certainly is NOT what they use to grade.

Surface? Again—here’s their website definition: “but an allowance may be made for a slight printing imperfection.” Simply put, the graders do NOT know this definition.

If they changed this to “a PSA 10 need to be all things perfect AND be subject to a 1-2 grade population-control limit deduction at our disgression” they need to be transparent and publish it. THIS is how they are grading now and that needs to be made public. That way people can stop wasting their time trying to find/preserve 10’s.

1 PSA 10 in a 65-card order of modern chrome cards? Please…
