Unless the auto checklist is amazing - like, they get Bill Murray - releasing a tie-in set 1.5-2 years after the fact will probably spell certain doom for it. And it doesn't help many didn't like the film.

I'll reserve comments on this because I am quite certain a decent amount of these releases coming out so late is still due to all the issues from a couple years ago still working through, like massive printing delays, etc.

They could have scrapped it, entirely, after seeing what happened with some of these other releases very recently so, while it's not a set I have interest in, I give UD huge credit for sticking with it and bringing non sports product to this current market.

I've wondered for a long time if UD is obligated to release sets for every MCU movie and TV series. Maybe they can't scrap sets even if they want to.

As far as autos go

Rudd, Douglas, Pfieffer and Kathryn Newton all have done signings or are doing signings shortly. Katy O’Brien has signed for topps and does conventions regularly. We know they have Majors and Lilly already on stickers. There is potential for sure.

Agree on this. I think a lot of this is due to printing delays more than anything else. It feels like they are starting to catch up slightly though. I’m happy for all these non sports releases. Not at their release prices but they are all dropping in price after release and they almost all have really solid signers in them.

Has this set been cancelled? No news since last June. No sell sheet was ever released. Blowout has pre-order pages for cases and boxes with a release date of March 28, 2025 but pre-order pages are gone from Blowout competitor websites. I found it on the December 2024 GTS release calendar with a placeholder "ESTIMATED Q4 2024 RELEASE" but nothing since then.

Upper deck no longer has the marvel license so I can’t imagine they are going to release this

Upper Deck can't sell it but presumably they could offload the finished product somewhere, assuming the set was finished.
