Another good outing from gore today. His secondary command still wobbled a bit and he came in a little flat-footed after the five run inning, but overall he's taking steps forward. He should get regular turns now that Clevenger is back on the DL. Rookie of the Year type of performance so far.

Pretty interesting contrast when you look back at his amateur mechanics |

Absolute gem wasted by the Padres pen. 7IP, 9K, 2H, 3BB, 0ER. Excellent FB command today. Held velo through the 7th. Getting better every start.

After a shakey 1st with some hard contact, Gore absolutely dealt. 6IP, 10Ks, 0ER, 3H, 3BB. All hits were weak contact.
1.50 ERA, 1.06, WHIP, 48.0 IP, 57Ks on season. I'm not overreacting, right? Last edited by Trueblue; 06-04-2022 at 05:18 PM. |

Did you see the lineup the Brewers put out today? Gore is good, and fun to watch but the lineup he went against today would lose to plenty of aaa teams.

Going into someone else's big league park and having two missiles shot at outfielders in the 1st, then adjusting to shut them down the rest of the game has more to do than a weak lineup. The quality of pitches being painted (fastball and offspeed) is irrelevant of opponent. He's executing. |

If he has a couple more quality starts, I wonder if they will take him off the rumored trading block.

One life pro tip is that you DO NOT mess with successful dudes with ***** first names. These guys have been bullied since second grade and made it through to the other side. Basically they had to be 10x stronger and mentally tougher than the average person just to get through middle school. That's another parallel to Sandy Koufax here.

Curious to see how he looks today. Even though he’s been traded, still going to root for him from afar. Plus, was able to pick up a pitched ball from his MLB debut last April!
