Also picked up a couple of Rittenhouse Batman sketches:

Speaking of Silver Surfer, how are all you collectors feeling about the character being cast by a female actress in the upcoming Fantastic Four movie?

She's playing Shalla-Bal if I'm not mistaken, so the original Silver Surfer, Norrin Radd, probably isn't in the movie.

If that isn't a song lyric, then it should be.

Absolutely - I think his Conan stuff is also up there among some of his best work.

I'm going to hold judgment until I see the final product. Generally speaking, I'm not a fan of movies changing the source material or origin stories for the big screen. I do think that Julia Garner is a talented actress, however.

I have a feeling that I'll enjoy the new Superman movie more, but we'll see.

Love me some Arnim Zola… along with M.O.D.O.K. he is one of my favorite goofy characters.

The biggest problem I have with it is that Silver Surfer's look is what makes him so unique and iconic. By changing his look -- whether it's changing the gender of the character or something else about him -- you already ruin what makes him so popular.

I remember trying to buy a Michael B Jordan Beckett witnessed Black Panther signed base card a while back. I think it was around $250. He didn't have any official trading cards at the time, so this was the best option. Well, now it looks like he has plenty of cards to go around. I somehow scored 3x of these 1/1's the last few weeks without actively trying. Under $50 each too. I'm happy with that!

Yeah, I'm interested to see how they portray her character.

There are a lot of people attached to the origin story as told by Stan Lee, so any deviation from that will really have to hit the mark somehow.

Good stuff - you must have a ton of plates by now.

Zola's a fun character, for sure. He's one of those villains that's extremely dangerous if you give him enough prep time.

Wasn’t too big of a fan of the set, but thought this plate turned out great so picked it up.

I'll use the autograph in the final framed piece, but I'm still going with the beyond just looks nicer in hand. The rainbow(auto) has the effect on the entire card, which still looks good...just not as good as the "swirl" you get on the beyond. The obvious big upside(for me) is that the rainbow is /10 and autographed by Wolfman(Big Blade fan & I also enjoyed Raven from Teen Titans Go...one of like 10 cartoons my son and I used to watch). Cool cards though, both of them.

Cool plate - that's another great movie poster:

Picked up a Jon Heder IP auto at a card show recently:

Also picked up this Joe Simko sketch from the 2012 Superman: The Legend Cryptozoic set.

Simko is known more for his GPK work, and it seems he brought some of that same energy to this sketch:

Or maybe the guy just sees something that he really likes with his X-ray vision...

I’ve had some decent sales during this week’s COMC Spring Cleaning promotion and used some of that credit to pick up this fun plate from the Topps 75th set…

I love picking up some of the concert ticket and baseball ticket relic cards Leaf puts out. I got this cool Grateful Dead one the other day.

I was also able to track down the playlist from September 5, 1988…

Nice Pokemon stuff Icollect! I actually have been dabbling in one character that I might share in its own thread soon. A lot of cool stuff there over the years.

I picked up this Awkwafina card in last hours of the COMC spring cleaning sale. Yeah.. she basically always plays the same character but I like that character.

Thanks... I'm probably going to drop some more pokemon off for grading tomorrow...

I'm curious to see which character you are talking about... I don't collect any specific character but if I were going to go for one character it would probably be mewtwo... I pulled the mewtwo I graded in one of the very first few packs of pokemon that I opened then on the very next pack I pulled a mega mewtwo.. since then I've always liked mewtwo.

Nice awkwafina auto... if it works nothing wrong with playing the same character all the time
