The amazing thing about this all, is that by 2018 you already knew Carr wasn't the guy.

He was coming off a 6-9 season where he trew fro 22 tds and 13 ints at age 26.

Nothing about Carr said 'generational talent', but what's fun is that if he had this same passion for Mahomes at that time, the summer before his 50 TD season, he would have been absolutely right.

But he wasn't. Not even close.

once Carr goes to a good team with a good OC, he'll be fine.

i'd buy Carr up if i could. he's a good QB. watch him end up in Tampa, Miami, or Washington next season.

i would love him to be a 49er, but we've got Purdy

Who will end up having a better career? Brock Purdy or Derek Carr?

Discuss.

I blame McD's and his happy meal offense more than Carr. But someone needs to take the fall for McD being inept and it won't be himself.

He probably should go to the NFC.

Would I invest in him? No. Would he have a better chance to win? Yes.

Can't win 'em all. Didn't he make millions of dollars off the Trout superfractor? Losing his $500,000 Carr investment won't even phase him.

As much as Birkinboi deserves to be publicly denigrated for his laughable Paris Hilton cosplay rendition, the Carr collection was mere house money shekels from his $5 million+ Trout liquidation. And he bought when nobody else cared about him.

I also think he moved a lot of the NT high end stuff during the covid boom, and people were still eating up the 'David could still gud' narrative.

He's too busy getting blinged out in hot pink. I haven't seen anybody pull of this fashion sense since Brett Hart...

Derek Carr has been a good play. That being said he should not have went into Carr the way he did. If he played his cards right he could've made money

To be fair, he owes dude in my avatar royalties.

Nobody rocked it like Cam in the late 90's.

And yet...

My question from two years ago is still the same...

Who will have the better career, Derek Carr or Brock Purdy?

Purdy already has had a better career. He was minutes away from winning a SB, Carr never even sniffed a SB and was 0 and 1 in the playoffs. Purdy is 4 & 2
Carr threw 30+ TDS once over his entire career, and Purdy has already done that in his short career
Carr threw a pick for almost every 2 TD passes where Purdy is close to a 3TD to 1 pick ratio

Derek Carr career sack rate: 8.5%. This means that, on average, for every 100 dropbacks, Carr was sacked 8.5 times.
Purdy sack rate across the 2022, 2023, and 2024 seasons is 6.3%

I remember driving to Vegas in 2022 and seeing a Vegas Dave billboard in the middle of the desert.
