I hope so, but whether he gets scorching hot remains to be seen. I’m just hoping for a continued season of steady progression all year. The kid is showing he’s not overmatched like many said at the end of last season. He’s 21 and doesn’t turn 22 until December, so being able to finish with 30+ HR, 80ish RBI and hopefully .275 would be a big boost for him. Hopefully Baltimore can get their baby birds all healthy and that would bode well for 2026. With a strong offseason and a really nice 2025, we could see some fun stuff from Holliday in 2026. It’s a stretch to think he will get to 30 home runs this season. He is at 12 through the Orioles first 90 games. At that rate, 25 would be tough.
EDIT: I’m an Orioles fan, so I hope you are right. It’s just I think your expectations are a tad too optimistic now that we are over halfway through the season. |

HR #16.
Not too bad for a 21 year old second baseman. |

He'll make up for the HR deficit in his earlier years when he signs with the Rockies to play with his brother.

He is holding his own as a 21 year old and looks to be a steady player.
However, nothing jumps out on his savant page-incredibly average across the board. He is a decent little player with room to grow. I would not pin my hopes on superstardom because he hasn't shown any transcendent tool to be a star. Even if Ray Durham started his career 3 years earlier, the hobby wouldn't have cared. |

Perhaps next year he can hit over a league average rate.

His average is up 60 points. While is was below Mendoza last year, that's still a big jump in my book. Unfortunately, his OBP is only up the same 60 points meaning he's not talking more walks this year. His statline this year is similar to Bobby Witt Jr's rookie and age 22 season. Certainly room to pop next year though I tend to temper my slugging expectations from second basemen. I own none of his cards but would be tempted to grab some during the early off season. If nothing else, the type of player who will probably get some spring training speculation.

Jackson totally ends up on the west coast. I kind of feel like he went into the 2022 draft thinking the Orioles were going for Druw Jones and he’d be a Diamondback.
