I write novels and would never use AI for creating. That said, instead of paying someone thousands and waiting weeks for editing, AI did it for me for free and it took less than 7 seconds for 200 pages. Very accurate editing too.

I use AI every day across at least 6 different models/products

chatGPT for daily use prompts (how does x work, how do I do x thing... etc)
Claude for writing prompts
Gemini CLI, Cursor, Windsurf for writing code
Perplexity for deep research

If you're not using it, and you're not just a grumpy old man, you are definitely going to fall behind.
