My LCS bought a collection of 90's wax from a local collector a couple months ago. A lot of it is priced out of my price range (especially the basketball), but I have opened a couple EX-2000 baseball boxes and today I picked up a 1997 Flair Showcase box. I wanted to take a shot at a nice Legacy or possibly a Masterpiece. Here are the spoils...
Ahh memories... ![]() Back when even the boxes were elegant, let alone the cards. Also, other than some worthless inserts and no-name Row 0's, my only hit was a Legacy, but thank God it was a good one! The receiver GOAT! ![]() Close-up... ![]()

Congrats. This is why I still love breaking older wax over the faster newer and way more pricey stuff.

Congratulations! Loved this stuff as a kid, left the hobby only to return 20 years later wishing to rip the same stuff. How much was the box?

A little update on this Rice Legacy card. I sent it to PSA and they claim it didn't meet the minimum size requirement. Unbelievable. I know there isn't much I can do to change their mind because I don't have video proof, but come on. I guess I'll try SGC.

Some have had success when resubmitting to PSA, but otherwise, SGC is probably your best route. |

It happens, I got a min size on an Urlacher Bowman Auto RC I pulled myself. You could try resubbing. I'd put it up next to another card to see how grievous the size difference is, if it's barely noticeable maybe give it another shot, it it's pretty apparent maybe try another company if you need it slabbed.

Weren’t several of the rarer 90’s inserts parallels found to be manufactured smaller? Maybe PMGs or Rubies

I would send it back and try again, but maybe include another card from the break (depending on service level obv). I do this on the rare occasion I get the N6 and the intent is to show the grader it's common for that set, and having two examples may get them to lean toward slabbing. |

It happens all the time. A few years back., I saw someone pulled a red refractor from a Bowman Chrome box and the card is like 90% of the size of a regular chrome card. Of course, PSA wont grade that.

PSA is under fire for allowing so many 90's sheet cut NBA cards through. I assume that is why they cracked down hard on your Rice.
