I think I'm allowed to put links in here right? In any case, I just got this in email which has a bit written about all 16 prospects that we acquired.

Does this mean they are doing away with the Sunday plan? Email I got today from the O’s…

“Dear XXX,

Every year, our mission remains the same: to build lasting success – on the field, in the community, and for our fans. Upon joining the organization a year ago, I quickly witnessed first-hand how Birdland Members are the heartbeat of our organization, and your support is a driving force behind everything we do.

As we continue working to elevate the fan experience, we're introducing a refreshed approach to memberships – one that offers more flexibility, greater value, and exciting new benefits. Starting next season, the Reserved Membership program will include the full-season membership, a half season 40-game option, and 20-game partial membership to better match the diverse ways fans enjoy Orioles baseball.

With these new options come an enhancement of Reserved Member benefits we think you’ll love including new Guaranteed Gate Giveaways, so if a game is in your plan, your giveaway is guaranteed – no need to arrive early, just enter via the exclusive member gate.

In addition to your existing flexible exchanges, you can now also participate in a new Ticket Sellback Program, providing members the option to return up to 30% of games in their plans before the season for full renewal credit applied to the Reserved Membership program the following year.

As an additional member perk, you will also receive an annual opportunity to view and select available open seats in this annual seat relocation opportunity based on seniority. You’ll also have guaranteed access to tickets for Opening Day and Postseason games.

For fans looking for more flexibility, we're continuing to offer a variety of options – including our popular Flex Memberships and a brand-new 10-game plan, perfect for those who want a lower commitment while still enjoying the same great seat for 10 exciting games.

Meanwhile, improvements to the ballpark are underway to make every visit more memorable including a new scoreboard that is 2.5x larger than the existing scoreboard, an enhanced state of the art sound system, new digital ribbon boards and complete renovation of the existing Club Level. As we kick off this new membership renewal process with you, here’s a timeline of what you can expect:

Friday, August 15th at 11:00 a.m. – Personalized Renewal Brochure Delivered to Your Inbox
September 12 – Renewal Deadline to Lock in Your Seats
September 22 – Annual Seat Relocation Window Begins

We recognize that these updates mean change, and for some members this may require choosing a new package or considering a new seat location. With the assistance of your new Personalized Membership Brochure, our membership team is ready to help you find a seat and plan that fits your priorities and budget.

If you're currently enrolled in our Auto-renewal payment plan for the 2026 season, please note that you will not be automatically renewed for the upcoming season.

If you're not yet enrolled, you will be automatically enrolled in Auto-renewal starting with the 2027 season when you complete your 2026 renewal. Learn more at orioles.com/autorenewal.

Our goal in refreshing these options is to deliver more tailored benefits, greater flexibility, in a simpler benefit program providing the best possible experience. The enhancements, like the Guaranteed Gate Giveaways, Ticket Sellback Program, and Annual Seat Relocation opportunity are designed to provide more value, convenience, and transparency as we evolve our membership structure to keep pace with our growing Birdland community.

We understand that transitions like these can be challenging, and we deeply value both your loyalty and the traditions you’ve created at the ballpark. You are a vital part of the Orioles’ past, present, and future. We’re grateful for your support and excited for what is ahead.

Thank you for being a part of Birdland.”

Re: Ryan Mountcastle

I called him not being traded and knew he would heat up when he got back to the Bigs. He is homegrown talent and an integral part of the past teams that made the playoffs and also was a transitionary face of the franchise before Adley and Gunnar showed up. I think he may be super tight with Adley and Gunner in away that keeps him around longer than most since he was a O's farm product. I hope they re-up him at a home-town discount for 4 more years. I will admit to PCing him and would like for him to stay on the O's. It's a cheap way to pick up Topp's flagship case hits when Adley and Gunnar are priced so high.

Mountcastle has hit 3 HR in nearly 200 AB this season and has an OPS of .644. They dangled him last trade deadline with no takers.

I agree he seems like a nice guy but his stats don’t warrant the Orioles offering him an extension.

I’m bummed that the Orioles screwed up the 13 game Sunday plan. Looks like I can pick up a 20 game plan and sell back 6 tickets to be applied to following year credit, but that seems like a backwards system. So my financial commitment will increase at least 50% this year not even including ticket price increase (just the increase in games required to lock in Sundays). I also am not sure if I will be able to keep my seats.

All of this after the Orioles had an underperforming year after 2 straight playoff years. Only the Orioles would view this season as a chance to charge longterm season ticket holders way more.

Ticket rep got back to me today basically saying to review the season ticket offer I will be getting this Friday and then get back to him if I have any concerns. “Ass”uming i still retain the same seats, i probably will do the 20 game and then sell back the 6 to get the 13 Sundays and one other game. And then apply the balance to following year. It’s kind of like Kohls cash… gets you back into the store… use it or lose it!

Now if they throw me somewhere else, then I prob won’t renew.

Got my renewal email today. Long story short… I can’t quit them. I’m going to renew. At least one more season and then we will see from there. Hopefully they can get off to a hot start next year. The first 8 or so weeks killed us this season.

I had season tickets for 1 year, before realizing I could get better seats for less money each game on 3rd party sites. I'm curious how the math works out for you to decide to continue renewing and how the benefits make sense for you.

I don't live in the area anymore and the last time I had season tickets was 2013, so I'm sure things may be different?

I like my seats! And you get to know the people around you when you keep the same seats year in and year out. This season I haven’t been able to go to many games since we moved mom to assisted living and I’ve been cleaning out a house most weekends.

The math probably doesn’t work but the O’s are one of my splurges I allow myself.

Like they are bringing up young guys like Beavers and Basallo. As a big Adley fan I really hope he turns it around. Just something off with him this season.

Basallo getting dinged his first at bat has to be one that doesn't happen very often.

Just the 29th time in history. First time for the Os. I gotta say, I’m more excited about Beavers and Basallo than I was about anybody but Gunnar and Adley. Beavers is a throwback player. 68 walks to just 74 strikeouts in minors and a .420 OBP. Basallo had 23 home runs in less than 80 games. If Beavers can get on base at “just “ .380 in the majors, that’s a great player. Of all the young guys to extend, I hope it’s these 2. They could totally remake this lineup next year.

If we bring this lineup, a healthy Bradish, Eflin on a QO bounce back prove it deal, and sign 1 solid arm this offseason..... We are very close to being a top team again.

I'm also a Celtics fan and see a lot of similarities right now to when Gordon Hayward broke his leg and we had a lost season used to develop young talent right before going for a championship. This throw away season may pay long-term dividends.

It is nice to see the young(er) guys get a chance. And hopefully you are right that we get a bounce back season next year. We have a lot of youth but probably time to weed out some underperformers. Looks like they are stuck with O’Neill but could see them dropping Mountcastle. Kjerstad also likely gets lost in the shuffle.

One of the biggest disappointments for me has been Cowser. Hopefully he can stay healthy and things click for him at the plate like they did at the start of the 2024 season.

Jeremiah Jackson has more hits since Thursday than Mullins has as a Met. Getting that black hole out of the lineup has been amazing.

And getting rid of Urias, O'Hearn, and Laureano will turn out to be amazing as well.

O'Hearn was a solid hitter, but Coby Mayo should have been playing every day LAST season. O'Hearn clogging up DH and 1B for the O's at the expense of giving Mayo playing time is going to be something detrimental that most people won't fully understand until next season most likely.

O'Hearn wound up blocking Mayo, Norby, Stowers, and Kjerstad at DH since 2023. Kjerstad has been dealing with health issues and he might not pan out, but this organization has screwed over their young players in order to favor veterans way too frequently. Hopefully learning from this disappointing season and committing to Basallo, Mayo, and Beavers is a step in the right direction for 2026.

With that said, Elias is the wrong guy to bring us a championship. Need to upgrade at GM if we want to make noise in the playoffs while we still have Gunnar Henderson.

I like to pick up an auto card or two of the young O’s when they get called up. Here are my Beavers and Basallo…

Beavers might end up putting up better batting stats than Cowser… which isn’t hard considering Cowser is hitting .211 this year with a .672 OPS. It will be interesting to see where the Orioles play Basallo once Adley is full health. I assume their plan is to keep Adley at catcher but Basallo looks like he will be the better hitter.

Had fun at the ballgame yesterday. Nice to see Trevor Rogers settling into the role of ace of the staff. Attendance was only 19k. I actually prefer the smaller crowd games as it is easier maneuvering around and you can mostly avoid long lines, but it obviously doesn’t bode too well for the organization.

I talked to two separate season plan holders in my section to see if they were renewing their ticket plans and both seemed to be leaning toward not renewing. They bought the 13 game Sunday ticket plans specifically because they had families and the added games doesn’t really fit within their schedules or budgets.

I feel like the Orioles might be alienating a lot of people with the ticket plans changes. We will see what attendance looks like next year.

I haven’t bought parking yet for next year but my rep says it’s unlikely I would retain my B/C parking. I will likely be relegated to FGH by the Ravens stadium. So a bit of a longer walk and takes a little longer to get out of. I currently am able to dump right out onto 295 from B lot. I am also expecting them to jack up the price of parking next year. This year I paid like $10 per game in advance.
