With Ohtani being nearly fully stretched out, I guess that moves Wrobo to a full long relief role. The pen sure is thin as is the corner infield position. Need some combo of Kim, Keeks, Scott, Kopech to get back and be right. Treinen looked better yesterday but still can go either way it seems.

The team played with a bit of a chip on their shoulder tonight, don't think they were happy about taking that L yesterday. Teo had a little extra pep in right field too, it seemed like.

Absolutely have to have these games versus the Rockies.
LA has just 2 left with Colorado, but San Diego still gets them for 7.
Dodgers do still get 6 games with the Giants who have been fairly listless lately versus San Diego. Hopefully, that's the team the Dodgers encounters in September and not one motivated by the long-standing rivalry that currently has the Giants with a 3 game lead over the Dodgers, all-time.
That's right, in there 2,586 meetings, the Giants franchise has won 1,286 times versus the Dodgers' 1,283 wins. (Apparently, they've had 17 ties.)

Ohtani pitches tonight. Maybe he can finally get that first win as a Dodger pitcher.

ERA, albeit with a limited sample of innings pitched, currently sits at 4.61.
Ohtani is also out for at least tomorrow's game, to go with that.

Stranger things have happened.

A win today would be big, though.
At least the young players are getting some playoff-type experience here, and maybe that will help down the line.

All even with San Diego. 31 games to play.

LA has Reds and D'Backs at home for the next 6.
Then 6 against the Pirates and Orioles on the road.
Then home versus the Rockies for 3, then 3 in San Fran
Then LA is home for versus the Phillies and San Fran for 7
Finally, it's 6 with D'Backs and Mariners on the road.
Hopefully, Seattle already has their spot clinched or else is out of it.

Maybe the Rockies can put up a fight in their 7 upcoming games versus the Padres and win a few of them. Besides Colorado, Padres still have the Mariners, Twins, Orioles, Reds, Mets, White Sox, Brewers, and D'Backs for 3 game sets.

In the first two innings, Ohtani struck out 5 and Lodolo struck out 4.
These fellas are swingin' and a missin'. Unfortunately, that took Shohei 45 pitches and Nick only 21.
